JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Team Lead/Assistant Manager will assist with the conceptualization, proposition, sourcing, implementation, support & upgrade of new or existing IT systems in a timely & cost-effective manner, to support Care Corner's evolving strategy to deliver services more effectively in an increasingly digitalised & connected world.
This role will provide business, technical & administrative support to internal teams, vendors, funders, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, both for IT system/project implementation as well as day to day IT operations, including contracts and subscriptions, data protection and cybersecurity, as well as end-user support and training.
The IT Team Lead/Assistant Manager will report to the Head of IT and Digitalisation, and may have direct or indirect reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Identify, propose and initiate IT projects and activities within Care Corner, involving services, tools and platforms, with quantifiable & significant gains on cost efficiency, process effectiveness, and resource productivity, as well as benefits to the business & operations of Care Corner, while adhering to security and data protection standards.
- Optimize, and automate, where applicable, data design and process flow across various systems to facilitate timely data analytics and planning. Systems include those used in Care Corner as well as those external to Care Corner, such as service provider and government systems.
- Manage systems/project implementation, including timeline, milestones, resource plan, scope of work, budget, and change requests, etc. You will also account for income received and expenditure incurred, as well as process payments, contracts/subscriptions and internal billing, where applicable.
- Source for and engage with vendors to facilitate optimal use/integration of IT solutions, platforms, and services.
- Create, review, revise and enforce policy, best practices and standards for IT systems, services and architecture.
- Support overall Care Corner IT architecture and ensure that it is kept up to date, secure and well documented.
- Provide excellent team leadership and mentoring, including effective communication, team building and coaching.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Care Corner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent together with significant experience in IT solution design and delivery, and/or project management involving off-the-shelf, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS &/or bespoke solutions.
- Well versed in the system development lifecycles and their relationship to project delivery methods including waterfall and agile.
- Technically sound in one or more of the core components of Care Corner's IT architecture, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Salesforce and Wordpress.
- Strength of character with confidence and credibility with ability to challenge issues and positively influence their resolution, coupled with humility, respect and empathy.
- Demonstrated strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to structure and articulate messages effectively to different audiences at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring that the underlying problem is understood, and a robust approach / solution is developed.
- Demonstrated significant experience in people management responsibilities and/or allocation of resources within a department or project environment.
- Highly established communication and stakeholder management skills across a wide range of stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent together with significant experience in IT
