Job Title: L1 Data Center Engineer

About the Role:

The Data Center Engineer will oversee the optimal performance and maintenance of Data Center and ELV operations, including network cabling, IT hardware installation, and environmental monitoring. Your role includes managing Data Center infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with service standards and agreements.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Perform facilities management related tasks in relation to the Data Center and/or Extra-Low Voltage (“ELV”) operations, including but not limited to structured network cabling, cable tracing, patching of cable and rack management, infrastructure and Data Center capacity planning.

· Responsible for the design and installation of structured network cabling, cable tracing, patching of cables and rack management in respect of infrastructure cabling used by the surveillance network.

· Responsible for the installation, removal, testing and labeling of all cross-connect cables (for e.g., cat6 cables, coax cables and fiber cables etc.).

· Responsible for the installation, re-location and removal of cabinets, racks, devices and other IT equipment inside the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Responsible for the configuration and management of Data Center equipment, including IP Kernel based Virtual Machine, iPDU and Data Center Infrastructure Management (“DCIM”) software.

· Maintain and update DCIM software to the latest version.

· Monitor and manage the physical health of the network and server environments.

· Follow established processes used by the Data Center operations (“DCO”) team, participate in regular process review and maintain service standards as defined in the relevant Operational Level Agreements/ Service Level Agreements.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Key Account Manager to manage long-term and short-term energy solutions to data centre clients, including hyperscalers and colocation players. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of energy contracts and the data centre industry. This role will involve not only sales but also operational responsibilities such as contract management, invoicing and submitting proposals to clients’ tenders or request for proposals (RFP) for short term energy purchases.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Management:

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve long-term and short-term sales goals
• Identify and engage with key decision-makers within hyperscalers and colocation clients

About the Role:

The Data Center Engineer will oversee the optimal performance and maintenance of Data Center and ELV operations, including network cabling, IT hardware installation, and environmental monitoring. • NeoXam Impress: an integrated solution for performance, attribution and reporting packs; flexible calculation methodologies including Modified Dietz, Brinson-Fachler; customizable workflows & templates to generate reports in corporate color themes, based on graphics and content; GIPS compliance. The solution could be standalone or connected to NeoXam Datahub & IBOR.

He / she will be responsible for APAC of NeoXam Follow the Sun offer and will manage a small support team with people located in different locations within APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the liaison of the software development teams located in the companies HQ in France, and to manage APAC support.
• Be with his/her team, the first technical point of contact for NeoXam’s clients in APAC and provide product support expertise.
• Be the technical support for the sales consultancy team in the sales phase, and to consultancy team during the project implementation phase.
• Managing the internal copies of the client environments.
• Performing the first level of analysis: anomalies, technical evolutions, reproduction of problems.
• Be responsible to solve client issues from the first analysis and reproduction to the development of a software fix in Java and the management of support tickets.
• Be responsible with the software support team to document Datahub knowledge and features from a software support point of view.
• Manage the day-to-day work of the APAC Support service (taking over new support tickets, participating in conference calls, relationship with other teams…).
• Manage performance optimisation request from Customer or Project in link with R&D team if required.
• Lead Cloud discussion and customer migrations.
• At a later stage, be responsible to develop and deliver fixed and enhancements in Java.
• Manage technical installation or upgrade of the solutions.

PROFILE

• Engineering/Computing School, Degree / Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of working experience with Financial software implementation and/or support and IT Projects in the banking / financial industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of team management experience.
• Knowledgeable in: XML APIs, Webservices (SOAP/REST), Web Application servers (Tomcat/JBoss/Webphere), Messaging, HMI SWING or SWT, OS (Unix and Windows), DBMS (Oracle, or SqlServe).
• Knowledgeable in development tools (Eclipse...) and the Scrum/Agile methodology.
• Knowledgeable in versioning tools like Git.
• Knowledgeable in Unix commands.
• Ability to do peer reviews and assess code.
• Ability to analyze, design and develop software with high operating constraints (robustness, performance, etc.).
• Independent, with own initiative and good interpersonal skills and are concerned about the quality of service provided.
• Proactive and a real team player.
• Fluent in English.

There will be occasional travel requirements within APAC.

The position requires rigour, tenacity, patience, ability to sometimes handle the pressure from clients, and a good ability to communicate and promote best practices.
