We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant with a strong mathematical background who is interested to explore new research directions in neuro-symbolic methods, specifically on the interplay between deep learning and symbolic reasoning. The successful candidate can expect to help with the implementation of algebraic machine reasoning frameworks and will work closely with other team members.

The goal of this project is to develop a general neuro-symbolic reasoning framework for solving various reasoning tasks. The symbolic reasoning part of this framework shall be based on algebraic machine reasoning, a new reasoning paradigm built upon commutative algebra and computational algebra. • Experience in design of machines, mechanism, components, and hydraulic system, preferably in heavy industries such as cranes and construction equipment.
• 3D CAD design experience and ability to conduct engineering calculation and analysis according to industry standard are essential.
• Knowledge in steel fabrication and machining processes will be an advantage.
• Experience in design set-ups, component selection, testing and troubleshooting preferred.

• Responsible for physical design, development for variety of SoC(System On Chip) and tapeout.
• Execute state-of-art methodologies include, floor-planning, place and route, RC extraction, timing and power optimization, physical verification.
• Doing benchmarking on Performance/Power/Area to validate the robustness of APR flow.
• Enhance project efficiency by using scripting language like Perl, TCL, Python etc.
• Provide feedback to flow development team for company flow enhancement.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science and above degree with microelectronics background.
• Open to fresh graduates and/or at least 2 years of physical design related experience.
