We are looking for part time Executive Director. The Executive Director is the key management leader of SWA. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. Working hours is 21 hours per week.1. Leadership and Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence and rigorous program evaluation.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain the organization’s staff.
- Ensure effective systems to track progress and regularly evaluate program components.
2. Board Governance:
- Work with the Board to fulfil the organization’s mission.
- Communicate effectively with the Board and provide, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.
3. Financial Performance and Viability:
- Develop resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Oversee the fiscal integrity of the organization, including submission of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements to the Board, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.
- Fundraise and develop other resources necessary to support the organization’s mission.
4. Organization Mission and Strategy:
- Ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
- Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas
- Enhance the organization’s public image to expand interest and support.
4. Community Engagement and Advocacy
- Serve as the organization’s primary spokesperson to the constituents, the media, and the public.
- Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance Singapore Women’s Association’s Mission.
Required Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of management experience, preferably within the non-profit sector.
3. Proven leadership and management experience.
4. Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Strong public speaking ability.
7. Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
8. Ability to convey a vision of the organization’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers, and donors.
9. Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the non-profit sector.
