Responsibilities:

• Manage the Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and distribution management systems applications;
• Involved in enhancement of the software functionality and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance;
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, enhancements and fixes;
• Collaborate and communicate with both internal and external customers to ensure smooth execution of projects and provide timely updates on project status;

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide technical and administrative support, as well as conduct process trials / experiments for both research and industry projects.
• Be an integral member of a metal casting team involving the operation of heavy machinery.
• Conduct sample preparation and data acquisition for material characterization (e.g. microstructure and properties) for process optimization and product function demonstration.
• Operate and maintain laboratory and industrial equipment, as well as the laboratory as a whole.
• Perform administrative duties (e.g. purchasing) as required.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Diploma holder, preferably with Materials or Mechanical Engineering background.
• Basic understanding of metallurgy, metal solidification and behaviour.
• Interest in hands-on lab- and workshop-based work.
