We are looking for a Director of Engineering

Director of Engineering is overall in charge of maintenance operations of hotel facilities, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, emergency power system, and other related equipment in accordance with guest service, preventive maintenance and energy conservation standards and programs.

As a Director of Engineering, we rely on you to:

• Manages departmental operations expenses and prepare for annual budget & Capex,
• Ensure hotel ‘s facilities are MEP system in good working condition to support daily operation,
• Establish andimplement preventive maintenance program to achieve higher reliability and serviceability of hotel facilities,
• Plan and implement projects to improve plantefficiencyand reduce other operating & maintenance costs,
• Ensures systematic and cost-effective process ofoperating, maintaining,and upgrading ofassets,
• Identifies hazards& potential safetyconcerns and be accountable for Fire Life Safety in hotel,
• Ensures compliance with international standards and local authority requirement,
• To conduct training programs for team members in accordance with the requirement of Engineering Services Manual and Fire Life Safety Manual,
• Conduct Engineering and Fire Life Safety audits
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Engineering Services Manual and Fire Life Safety Manual or as directed by General Manager

We are looking for someone who:

• Degree in Engineering or relevant
• Minimum of five (5) years with advanced knowledge of building management/engineering experience in hospitality industry
• Hands on experience in hotel operations, repair and maintenance;
• Strong understanding of building life safety system and energy management systems.
• Strong Leadership qualities
• High levels of flexibility, adaptability to changes

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team!

As a Director of Engineering, you will be required to:

• General administration of the Engineering Department, including other proper maintenance and repair of all building, fixtures, fittings and equipment as well as technical improvement, preventive maintenance and utilities consumption control
• Lead and manage the engineering department, including recruiting, training, and supervising staff.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth operation of all hotel systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to support their operational needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Manage capital projects, renovations, and upgrades, from planning through execution.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Monitor energy usage and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Drives the environmental culture in the Hotel and guide the Department Heads in their initiatives
• Maintain accurate records, budgets, and reports related to engineering activities. Responsible for all the functions of Fire, Life, Safety Manager and ensuring that all requirements and standards comply.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors etc
• Ensure the smooth completion of the project
