Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring overall smooth operation and delivering a seamless and delightful dining experience for our members and guests.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Day-to-Day Operations

• To assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations, Drive revenue, maximise profitability and minimize cost of the restaurant.
• To lead and supervise a shift which includes inspecting table and work area layouts and settings, ensuring service quality and any other hygiene matters.
• To ensure that mis-en place/side station is all set up with food items, non-food items such as crockery and chinaware before the shift commences.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Establish good rapport with members and guests, handle all their requests or enquiries, in a prompt, courteous and sincere manner.

Education and Experience

• GCE ‘O’ level or Nitec in Hospitality Operations/F&B Management or their equivalent;
• Two years of continuous working experience in similar establishments, preferably in private members clubs or 5 stars hotels;
• Able to write and communicate in English and Chinese language;
• Excellent interpersonal and people management abilities to develop an effective and motivated team to create memorable experience for all Members and guests with exceptional service.

The incumbent will work with the various stakeholders (Academic Director, relevant faculty members, students, internal and external stakeholders) to ensure the smooth running of the admissions process of the designated programmes. S/he will have an important public relations role representing the MSc Programmes Office, NUS Business School, and NUS both internally and externally and will contribute to the Business School’s mission and values.

The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Contribute to a dynamic team involved in the growth of the MSc Programmes Office
• Oversee and manage the admissions administration and processes (e.g. review application materials, organize/conduct interviews, prepare reports and admissions materials for management review, etc.)

Qualifications

• Degree from a reputable University in any discipline
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a higher education institution

• Strong organizational ability and high attention to detail in tracking and managing admissions for academic programmes
• Observant in identifying process, operational and service gaps and propose solutions
