Summary

The APAC Business Technology Team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, is looking for an extraordinary GenAI and Machine Learning Engineering Lead who is passionate about crafting, developing, and fielding data science solutions that drive impact for HCP (Health Care Professional) and patients.

As the regional Gen AI and Machine Learning engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building GenAI and machine learning engineering solutions across the region. You will leverage your technical expertise, experience, and communication skills to work across business & technology teams productionize innovative data science models and applications. Your technical knowledge and ability to apply them, will be paramount to your success in this role. Focus areas include (but not limited) to patient analytics, commercial strategy, and patient support program analytics. Specifically, you will build end-to-end machine learning pipelines by developing and applying creative solutions that go beyond current tools and work together with data scientist to deliver scalable, reusable, extensible and flexible solution.

• Deliver end to end GenAI and machine learning applications for our key projects across the region.
• Execute the regional GenAI strategy including people, technology, platforms, and process.
• Collaborate with platform teams and solution architect to evolve our big data platforms and evaluate various data science technologies and services.
• Clearly articulate highly technical methods and results to diverse audiences and partners to drive decision-making.

The role requires both a broad knowledge of existing software development lifecycle, AI algorithms and the creativity to invent and customize when necessary. Responsibilities

GenAI Solution Architecture Design and Implementation

• Lead a team of AI engineers, and DevOps specialists to design, develop, and optimize Generative AI architectures tailored to specific use cases and business requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientist to drive the end-to-end implementation of GenAI models, including training, fine-tuning, and deployment.

Prompt Engineering

• Collaborate with data scientists to create and refine prompts for various AI applications
• Develop advanced prompt engineering techniques to enhance the performance and accuracy of GenAI models.

Machine Learning Solution build and deployment:

• Collaborate with data scientist and other technology teams to design and build machine learning engineering solution for the region.
• Establish and maintain ML pipelines to automate the training, testing, and deployment of AI models.
• Implement CI/CD practices to ensure continuous integration and delivery of AI solutions.
• Monitor and manage the lifecycle of deployed models, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.

Cloud AI Solutions (AWS and Azure):

• Architect and implement scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Utilize cloud services to manage and deploy AI models, ensuring high availability and performance.

Research and Innovation:

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI, cloud technologies, and MLOps practices, and bring them to the team.
• Drive innovation by exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve AI capabilities and efficiencies.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree

Required Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 7 years professional experience is required with a minimum of 5 years building machine learning model development is preferred

• Proven track record in designing and building GenAI solutions, with a strong expertise in prompt engineering, LlamaIndex, Langchain, RAG, AI red teaming libraries, LLM monitoring and evaluation.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Machine learning engineering and MLOps, developing end-to-end machine learning pipelines. Must have a proven ability to take solutions to production, while effectively monitoring and maintaining them.
• Over 7+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle as a developer, with a focus on writing production code.
• Must have hands-on experience working with software development toolkits, and devOps automation like Kubernetes, Airflow, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence and Git.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and proficiency in PySpark.
• Experience in DataBricks, AWS Sagemaker and Azure ML is plus.
• Strong leadership skill with ability to influence the thought process and drive alignment.
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• To lead a team of Engineers to carry out all the Test related activities for Server & Rack products for the production
• To support & implement PXE Server configuration for the products
• Perform & maintain the Server & Rack run-in test process
• Perform & maintain the burn-in & power test process
• To liaise with the customer & HQ / factory on the test program implementation and maintenance
• To test and analyze all failures in the production products and work back with customer & HQ / factory for improvement
• Participate in the Kaizen activities
• To update the test program master list & tracking
• To prepare and update Working Instruction
• To provide training over W/I to production
• To support the NPI Process
• To support production on the mass run

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Field Service Team Leader leads the field operations across our Singapore locations. Reporting to the Global Operations Centre (GOC) and particularly the Field Service Coordinator, this role oversees a team of Field Service Technicians (FSTs) to ensure efficient delivery of various services.

There may be a requirement for the FSTs to assist in projects and training of operations teams in other regions at times. In this role, there will be a requirement to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster and an expectation to undertake reasonable overtime as required to fulfil the duties as required.

Leadership & Team Management

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for FSTs and site-based engineers, fostering a supportive and engaged team environment.
• Provide onsite training and supervision of FST staff as required to ensure they are well engaged, trained and capable of maintaining the SMC equipment at the highest of standards.

Coordinate & supervise FST and site-based engineers’ activities

• Ensuring timely completion of tasks at the direction of the level 1, 2 and 3 engineering teams such as:
• Fault response and troubleshooting
• Routine and corrective maintenance
• Equipment installation (racking)
• Communication cable installation
• Computer hardware repair
• Remote hands support as required
• Coordinate and participate in mechanical and electrical equipment repair
• Oversee contractor works
• Conduct facility inspections and audits as required, ensuring our sites are always impeccably maintained and operating as efficiently as possible.

Operational Efficiency

• Assist to develop and embed processes to optimise field service operations and ensure high-quality service delivery. This includes developing and fostering ongoing use of site-based inspection checklists, permits, safety documents etc.
• Collaborate with other departments (project delivery, R&S) to provide support and resources as needed.
• Assist in project works as required and where it does not impact upon operations.

Strategic Focus (Initial Focus)

• Ensure that all new FSTs entering the business feel engaged and supported whilst making sure they are properly trained and mentored such that they can safely undertake required tasks to the quality we expect.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Working Experience of more than 5 years as a Field Service Technician or similar role, with a strong track record of success in troubleshooting, repair, and customer service
• In-depth knowledge of the specific equipment or technology serviced by the team
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and delegate tasks effectively
• Experience in scheduling and managing workloads to ensure timely completion of required works
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues, both independently and collaboratively with the team
• Strong decision making abilities to make sound judgments under pressure and in challenging situations

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Field Application Engineers.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Field Application Engineers in customer engagements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners.

• Prior experience in Power System Control or Environmental Control Systems is advantageous.
