Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Macro Economic Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of economic analysis, with the ability to evaluate macroeconomic trends, provide forecasts, and develop insights to support strategic decision-making.
This role requires interaction with stakeholders in our Chinese headquarters, necessitating fluency in Mandarin for effective communication.
This role will focus on the China Market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Economic Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends, including GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment, and other economic indicators.
- Develop macroeconomic forecasts to guide business strategy and decision-making.
2. Market Insights:
- Analyze global economic conditions and their impact on industry trends, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor geopolitical events and regulatory changes that may affect the organization.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in both written reports and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with teams in the Chinese headquarters, effectively communicating in Mandarin to ensure alignment on insights and strategic decisions.
4. Data Management & Reporting:
- Utilize economic data sources to maintain up-to-date economic models and databases.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing economic conditions and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in macroeconomic analysis, economic research, or a similar field.
- 10 years of overall work experience, with a minimum of 4 years in macroeconomic analysis, economic research, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical skills, with expertise in interpreting economic data and trends.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for liaising with stakeholders in the Chinese headquarters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex economic concepts.
- Familiarity with economic data tools and software, such as Bloomberg, Eikon, or similar platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience working with multinational companies or familiarity with Chinese markets is advantageous.
- Knowledge of quantitative modeling and statistical techniques.
