Job Responsibilities

• To carry out marketing activities for trade finance products (LC/ guarantee issuance, LC confirmation / discounting, ARP, SCF, milestone basis mid-term trade solutions, structured trade, and ECA finance). Incumbent is expected to develop relationship with customers (non Japanese corporate clients, SG local companies and Global subsidiries in SG) and industry players to further the development of GTFD business.
• Responsible for marketing from origination, structuring, negotiation, documentation to deal execution for corporate clients. Managing workflow with team members from GTFD, other departments including but not limited to Coverage, Legal, Credit, Operations for successful deal management
• To demonstrate SMBC’s best practice by following internal rule & procedure, relevant regulations and compliance matters (understanding on mission statement & 5 values, related HQ policies, procedure manual, pre-consultation process, etc)
• Promoting the trade finance business collaboration between Japanese and Non-Japanese coverage team through the target customer’s account planning.
• Report progress on pipeline deals and updates on marketing activities, support Head of Working Capital in business and reporting activities.. Act as back-up for Manager for assigned areas during compliance leave or other periods as agreed with GTFD management.

The Opportunity

We own, evolve and support the technology platforms that handle the post-execution processing for the Securities Execution, Prime Clearing, and Prime Brokerage businesses. About the team

Our team consists of 19 people in Singapore and around 100 globally. Almost all of our projects are cross-location and cross-function, meaning we work directly with Front Office, Operations, Legal, Tax, and our Engineering colleagues from those areas, across the wider firm.

We work directly with Operations and Securities sales/trading, to design and implement, a wide range of functions including trade aggregators, trade matchers, payment systems, intercompany trade booking and settlement systems, and connectivity to exchanges, counterparties and vendors. The incumbent will be responsible for driving the sales of Structured Trade Products as well as sector solutions in the regions. The incumbent will work very closely with Sector Bankers in AOCB to create sector specific solutions and be responsible for selling them to the clients. This role is pivotal to growing and managing the sector solutions and structured Trade Products in the region. The incumbent will work with the Sector Bankers as well as the RMs across Asia Oceania to understand the key client needs and market development and create solutions to cater to client needs. Job Description
1) Responsible for the strategy and execution of Sector Solutions and Structured Trade across the Asia & Oceania region.

Regular interaction with Sector Bankers and RMs to ensure that the Structured Trade products and sector solutions are well understood and the Sector Bankers and RMs and are able market these solutions and grow the business.
3) Responsible for understanding the evolving sector specific needs and market changes and aligning and building sector solutions. Responsible for joining the sector bankers calls to understand the client needs, deal pipeline and explaining and ensuring that Transaction Banking value proposition for the sector is understood and being used by sector bankers and RM in client discussions

We are looking for a APAC Commercial Director who will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth of Ogilvy, leading the commercial management of a portfolio of regional clients. The role will be key part of the Ogilvy APAC Commercial Leadership and report to the Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific.

The Finance Director oversees the financial management and reporting activities of the organisation and supports the Law Society Council in its long term financial goals and risk management.

Client Management and Strategy

Job Purpose
