The Opportunity

Within EY’s Financial Services Regulatory Compliance practice, you will participate in numerous projects and initiatives involving process reviews, system enhancements as well as new systems implementation, impacting and improving the relevant processes surrounding regulatory conduct, financial crime and compliance. Your key responsibilities

You will be working together with the senior associates, managers and partners to plan, lead and execute engagements for financial institutions, regulatory conduct, financial crime and compliance for Banks, Capital Market Services Licensees and other financial institutions. You will perform regulatory related fieldwork and review of documentation to provide quality control over regulatory compliance processes. You will also make recommendations to improve policies, procedures and processes.

Skills and attributes for success

The Job

Reporting into Managing Director (Chief Executive Officer), the Group Finance Manager is to lead the Accounts Teams from various business units to:

- Consolidate Periodic Group Financial Reports / Financial Analysis, close and prepare annual audited financial statements (P&L) – Financial Year 1 April – 31 March.

Reporting & Operation

- Lead the finance team and manage financial cycles, providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team, oversee the financial management, accounting and reporting matters;

- Establish business control over financial processes and complying with corporate policies, Financial Reporting Standards, legal, statutory and tax requirements, ensure compliance with SGX Mainboard listed rules;

- Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business and risk management;

- Review all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures.

Qualification of Chief Finance Officer

- An MBA or CPA is also highly desirable;

- At least 10 years' experience in the finance industry and proven leadership and management experience is essential – with examples of when they have demonstrated excellence in the workplace;

- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the executive presence to work with senior management, investors and external stakeholders.

- Able to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation and exercise sound judgement.

- Strong business and leadership acumen.

Responsibilities:

• Review of account opening documents for both individual and entity.
• Conduct periodic CDD reviews of existing clients, performing enhanced due diligence, and ensuring overall compliance with procedural standards
• Perform necessary screenings – Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media/ Negative News screening
• Perform account maintenance by ensuring any update of particulars request are promptly updated
• Assist in maintenance of database for annual FATCA & CRS reporting
• Responsible for Ops AM systems projects and automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Finance/Business Management
• 10 years of experience with min 3 years of experience in leading a team of 4 to 6 people in client Onboarding.
