About the Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (Overseas Operations) Team
The overseas operations team within EDB’s Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (FRAP) division focuses on providing advisory on the procure-to-pay value chain for EDB’s overseas centres and officers.
The overseas operations team is embarking on system changes involving re-designing the business processes. Interns will be part of this project to assist with various areas such as information flow, system controls set-up, and business workflow designs.
For Interns to better understand the current workflows and systems to help with the review project, Interns will be assigned daily operational tasks and work alongside the rest of the overseas operations team.
[What you will be working on]
As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:
Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.
Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.
Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.
Learning outcomes and other experiences available to the intern as part of the internship:
Gain insights into overseas operations procurement and finance management
Gain familiarity with SAP Concur and Workday
Gain experience with system and workflow re-design project and project management skills.
