JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will work together with the Singapore Finance Team and Asia Shared Service Centre (SSC) to support the Singapore business by managing the day-to-day finance operations, delivering insightful timely analysis and other financial planning needs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
•    Responsible for submission of timely, accurate and commercially-focused Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Planning for Singapore, in line with agreed templates and timetables 
•    Identify and timely report risks and opportunities for the business by monitoring Sales Pacing and cost spending closely
•    Update commentary highlights concisely, anticipating and addressing potential questions in advance with supporting analysis as appropriate
•    Provide Business Partner support to event team
•    Monthly P&L actual review and working with SSC for month end. This will include:
-    Ensure revenue and costs are recorded correctly, and intercompany billings are performed
-    Compliance in accordance to Group guidelines and timely release of accruals, if any.
•    Build necessary financial / management reports from appropriate systems for review and analysis purpose
•    Intercompany review for Singapore incl. agreements, invoicing, resolving mismatches and cash settlements
•    Liaise with auditors for Government Grants audit
•    Manage and review GST submission, Corporate Secretarial related matters and completion of Government Surveys for the Company
•    Handle audit, tax and financial statements related matters
•    Ad hoc queries / requests from stakeholders (Group/Division, Management, Business Partners etc)
 

The Finance Executive AP plays a pivotal role—acting as the nexus between financial discipline and Business. She / He will not just process transactions but surely highly contribute to the financial statements’ quality of the organization with a steady hand through meticulous management of Purchase Orders & Area recharges. Please find the further detailed job description as follows:

1. PO Management

• To create Purchase Requisition / Purchase Orders OPEX and CAPEX over the whole PCD TR APAC scope: through MyRequest for LFCS, Hainan Esker for Hainan entity and Macau Esker for our Macau Four Season Boutique concept.
• To make sure the internal validation rules are well applied before PO creation.
• To make sure the PO amounts are aligned with the latest commitments (VM expenses file, CAPEX file) else apply the proper internal validation.
• To validate invoice via Webcycle for the PR/PO created in SAP.
• To perform MIGO / PO reception over the PO scope mentioned above.
• To analyze PO with discrepancies, follow up on outstanding PO and follow the yearly PO closing cycles.
• To perform monthly reconciliation between PO listing and General Ledger.
• To provide accrual file of pending PO.

1. Recharge management

• To coordinate the reception of the monthly recharge through the whole APAC region and to make sure those are booked on a timely manner, within the month in question.
• To make sure the recharge items are justified, respect the accounting, purchasing and internal control rules.
• To make sure the recharged items are properly affected and aligned with the areas’ commitments.
• To seek final validation and further pass the recharge to finance team for booking.

1. SAP Internal Order Management.

• To create SAP Internal Order for new employees.
• To create SAP Internal Order for counters when it is the first time we collaborate with a specific customer.
• To create SAP Internal Order for specific items like BC seminar.
• To make sure our internal order library is up to date and allocations are proper.

1. Other Account Payable, reporting and ad-hoc tasks

• To submit the deposit/Advance invoice request via the related SharePoint (Dior TR & Asia Agent)
• To provide to controlling Team the monthly extraction of P&L actual report on closing day
• To check supporting documents and create new Staff code in SAP
• To prepare local spend for Purchasing
• Liaise with Controllers to follow up on all open PO (all brands)
• Amex Report & Invoice Extraction, provide posting details and accrual file with pending items.
• Invite & guide existing vendors to join e-portal
• Work with AP Assistant Manager and PCD TR controlling Team on any ad-hoc duties.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing daily financial transactions. This encompasses a range of tasks, including but not limited to, the verification of transactions, compilation of Finance related report to HQ in South Korea, and most importantly, ensuring the utmost accuracy of all accounting entries submitted by various stakeholders operating within our financial system.

Moreover, you will act as a vital liaison between our local colleagues in Singapore and the finance team based at our headquarters in South Korea. This position will require you to facilitate efficient communication channels, thereby enhancing collaboration and operational effectiveness. You will play a pivotal role in improving system functionalities which are crucial for timely and accurate daily reporting.

The Finance Intern will support the CNBC Asia Pacific Finance team.

This role is ideal for university undergraduates aspiring to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance, with responsibilities across both the Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership functions.
