We are looking for a dynamic and driven Polytechnic / University undergraduate Intern to join our Financial Product team specializing in SME lending solutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fintech, commercial banking, risk management and handling end-to-end lifecycle of lending products. Ideal candidates are pursuing diplomas / degrees in Business, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Analytics, Data Science, or related fields and have a strong interest in banking, technology and customer-centric innovation.

What you will do:

• Assist in the design, development, and optimisation of lending products and programmes.
• Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Credit, Operations, Data and Risk to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Participate in creating and maintaining product documentation, including product specifications, business initiatives and implementation plans.
• Support product performance monitoring by analysing key metrics and preparing reports.
• Help enhance customer journey experiences by identifying and addressing pain points in the lending process.

Must have:

• Currently pursuing a diploma / degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Career Interest in financial services, banking, fintech or product management.
• Basic knowledge of lending products or a willingness to learn.
• Proficient in data analysis tools like Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar business analytics platforms.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with SME businesses in Southeast Asia and SME financing concepts
• Comfortable with software and coding skills such as Figma, Qlik, Snowflake, Python, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, R, Excel VBA

Note: This position is set to onboard in April 2025, with a duration of 3 to 6 months.

During your internship, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to the bank and our various business segments. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities to network with our senior leaders.

You will be required to undertake a project during the internship. At the end of the programme, you will present your learning to the senior managers and Human Resources. 

As an intern with the Credit Ops Financial Transactions Team, you have the opportunity to participate in small process improvement initiatives/projects.

You will assist the Credit Ops Financial Transactions Team for the following:

• Support financial transaction processing e.g loan disbursement, loan collection & redemption, GL reconciliation & etc
• Insurance renewal process

By the end of the internship, you would have learnt about financial transactions on loan processing.   

Main responsibilities

1) Know the tools and help the planners to prepare the data for the day-to-day analysis

• Run DRP tools
• Run the extractions and prepare monthly cost analysis
• Invoicing of the flow back to France

2) Follow one or two novelties project (launch of a new product):

• Ensure the inventory deployment according to markets demand and logistics set up
• Coordinate the replenishment flow with central supply management, local distribution planning, demand planning and customer service teams
• Give visibility of availability of the products by channel according to the short- and medium-term priorities
• Control the availability of products, identify and report the shortages / stocks excess risks
• Raise alerts and propose arbitration to management.
• Propose backup solutions in case of delay or shortage

3) Continuous improvement projects

• Punctual analysis to perform and actions plan proposal to improve our efficiency.

Hands-on experience in the development, analysis and management of financial products.
What you will do:

• Conduct market research to inform product development strategies
• Create product documentation (e.g. product specifications, user guides and training materials)
• Derive key product findings, insights and recommendations to ensure product reliability and effectiveness.

What you will need:

• Must be organized, detail-oriented and can work independently
