Responsibilities

• Prepare, count and distribute components to production team for monthly production usage
• Monitor component stock levels and report to Production Manager monthly
• Execute daily in-bound goods into warehouse effectively
• Perform inspections with QC team to ensure components' quality adhere to standards and prepare report for the Production Manager
• Maintain accurate production documentation
• Utilize Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data tracking and reporting
• Support production planning and control processes with the Production Manager
• Perform any other ad-hoc projects or tasks to be assigned by the HOD/ Management from time to time

Requirements

• Diploma in mechanical/electronics engineering or any relevant ITE cert/Technical skills certificate or 1-year work experience in electronics industry
• Able to read and understand electronic schematics and user diagnostic tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope and LCR meter
• Computer literate (Excel and Word)
• Good team player, possess initiative & ability to work independently
• Knowledge of SAPB1 Module is preferred but not a must
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 will be an advantage

Position Summary:

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization in compliance with Singapore Exchange (SGX) listing rules and other relevant regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller collaborates closely with senior leadership, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare and oversee accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Ensure adherence to SGX listing requirements, including quarterly and annual reporting, announcements, and disclosures.
• Manage the preparation and filing of statutory financial reports and tax submissions.

2. Regulatory and Corporate Governance:

• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including SGX rules, MAS regulations, and corporate governance standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to address queries and audits.
• Oversee the implementation of internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial integrity.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the development of the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide actionable recommendations.

4. Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
• Optimize capital structure and manage banking relationships, loans, and credit facilities.

5. Investor Relations and Reporting:

• Support in investor relations activities, including earnings calls, AGMs, and financial presentations.
• Prepare investor-related materials and respond to queries from stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SGX disclosure obligations and maintain transparency with shareholders.

6. Internal Controls and Risk Management:

• Establish, review, and enhance internal controls and processes to mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal auditors to ensure operational and financial efficiency.

7. Leadership and Team Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performing department.

Key Requirements:

Education and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or ACCA qualification is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Proven experience in a Singapore-listed company or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of SGX listing requirements, corporate governance, and compliance standards.

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and tax regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role holder will be responsible for running a reliable and responsive Financial Planning and Analysis function that provides the Director of Finance, the Senior Management Team (SMT) and managers across the Organisation with value-add financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making.The role holder will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management and regularly reviewing this information. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review and interpretation of results and value-add analysis.

Financial Planning and Forecast:

• Coordinate budget planning, forecast and review exercise across MINDS, including annual budget & workplan and mid-year review
• Establish 5 years financial planning needs of MINDS, identifying funding needs and coordinate the allocation of resources
• Ensure adequacy, timeliness and accuracy of periodic Management reports for HODs
• Analyse financial data, highlighting variances, trends and red flags
• Work with Procurement and HODs to institute cost saving measures
• Participate in business cases, review assumption and financial calculations for proposals• Assist in costing and development of pricing models
• Assist in financial system enhancement to improve controls and financial functions

Treasury:

• Coordinate surplus fund management in accordance to investment mandate
• Prepare cash flow analysis and forecast to facilitate operations and maximise use of surplus fund
• Liaise with banks for banking mandate

Other duties:

• Preparation of resolutions and forms for banks
• Ah-hoc verification works

Degree in accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Oracle NetSuite, good IT knowledge with reporting building skills is advantageous.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timely preparation and consolidation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis and management reports to both internal and external stakeholders
• Provide strategic recommendations regarding automation, accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting, planning, financial stability, liquidity and cashflow.
• Controlling the working capital and cash-flow management including reporting for board and executives.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of financial activities and ensure strong corporate financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, analysis and statutory reporting.
• Good understanding of operating and capital expenditure, revenue, internal controls and budgets.
• Work closely with Group Finance Director to promote a culture of innovation within the team to drive greater efficiency whilst increasing and driving staff motivation.
• Responsible for all core financial affairs and ensuring that the team are developed to take on leading roles.
• Responsible for the accurate production of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet including liaising with project managers for WIP management and reporting.

REQUIREMENTS
