MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical field assistance in promoting spare part sales, maintenance, operation, equipment installation supervision and startup and/or shutdowns for all CPM processes. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine NavCom Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of a wide range of marine navigation and communication systems, including but not limited to MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, and maritime IT equipment. Additionally, knowledge in IT/networking and VSAT systems is essential for this role. A General Operator's Certificate (GOC) is recommended. The candidate should also possess a general understanding of marine electrical and electronics systems. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are required for this position.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Install, troubleshoot, and service various marine navigation and communication systems including MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, maritime IT equipment, and VSAT systems.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of onboard systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crew members regarding the operation and maintenance of navigation and communication systems.

Document all service activities, including installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided, accurately and comprehensively.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of marine navigation and communication systems.
Proficiency in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, maritime IT equipment, and VSAT systems.
Strong knowledge of IT/networking principles and protocols.
General Operator's Certificate (GOC) is recommended.
Familiarity with marine electrical and electronics systems is desirable.

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Commercial Diving Department by performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections of leisure and commercial diving equipment. The Junior Diving Technician will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards, enhancing operational reliability and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

• Inspect, service, and repair diving regulators, BCDs, breathing air compressors, and associated equipment.
• Perform hydrotesting of diving cylinders and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct air quality analysis for compressors to maintain safe breathing air standards.

Commercial Equipment Support:

• Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Surface Rescue Panels (SRP), cascade systems, and Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS).
• Support the repair and maintenance of decompression chambers and other specialized commercial diving systems.

Technical Operations:

• Perform routine checks and diagnostics on all diving-related equipment.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs for compliance and quality assurance.

Customer Support:

• Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the use and care of diving equipment.
• Address client inquiries and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.

Health and Safety:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related engineering disciplines.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in servicing diving equipment.
• Hands-on experience with regulators, BA compressors, hydrotesting, and air quality analysis.

Exposure to SRP panels, cascade systems, LARS, and chambers will be an added advantage
