Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Chinese to communicate with our Mandarin speaking colleagues and employer. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in senior finance management in the top-tier hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial operations of the company.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with different departments to support financial decision-making.

Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Fluent in Chinese (written and spoken) is a must to communicate with our Mandarin speaking colleagues and employer.

Experience in the hotel industry is a strong advantage.

CA, ACCA, CPA qualification is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience required;

• Take-off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ, drawings and specifications for the calling of quotations).
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers, quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre-contract and post contract.
• Pre and post tender/contract negotiation, administration, and monitoring.
• Track changes to the Design/ Construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Price and forecast the cost of different materials required for the project.
• Procurement responsibilities including tender document preparation, calling for quotation for sub-contract works, evaluate, and compare costs before awarding the works for sub-contract package.
• Follow up on invoice preparation, purchase order, work order, sub-contract agreement and letter of award to sub-contractors and/or suppliers.
• Monitor and evaluate work progress and assess sub-contractor’s progress payment claims and variation order claims before certification. This will include contract administration for any variation or change for both Sub-contracts and Main Contracts.
• To follow up on monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
• Involved in respective site, client, and consultant meetings, Liaise closely with project sites for related claims.
• Minimum diploma or degree holder in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil / Structural Engineering
• At least 5 year(s) of relevant working experience in Construction sector

Candidates with substantial years of experience will be considered for the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Contract Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the project site by overseeing the day-to-day activities related to the construction of the project as designated by Project Manager
• Liaise with consultant for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Conduct inspection and checks on work performed by subcontractors
• Assist in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations
• Prepare project-related reports and method statement for submission

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer, or recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer, and at least 3 years of experience in the construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experiences in Engineering and construction industry
• Experience with LTA Project is an advantage, working area nearby Boon Lay MRT.
