Job Duties:

1. Oversee the day to day running of the Restaurant.

2. Oversee the service of the Restaurant.

3. Promote the Restaurant by establishing a loyal and regular customer base, maintaining a regular customer database and personalising customer service.

4. Manage all marketing and advertising activities and/or opportunities for the Restaurant.

5. Oversee the content, design, delivery and quality of all marketing, promotion and publicity materials, programs and services.

6. In charge of cost control ensuring that the monthly cost of sales and operational expenses of the Restaurant, is capped at an acceptable range.

7. Conduct and participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant as well as other location where physical stocks are kept, including but not limited to glassware, plateware and crockery.

8. Ensure orderliness in the Restaurant.1. Ensure team briefings are carried out before each service period.

9. Ensure that no standing bills stays on the system, and account for all voided bills.

10. Take immediate action to deal with all guests’ complaints.

11. Handle emergency and difficult situations.

12. Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant, including but not limited to plates and utensils.

13. Attend all team briefs as required.

14. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Scope

· Proven networking abilities both among PECC’s members as well as external stakeholders

· Coordinating international projects between economies primarily focused on APEC and other regional cooperation processes

· Act as the head of the Secretariat, taking responsibility for its day-to-day management

· Contribute to the development of the research agenda for PECC

· Ability to initiate research projects to be undertaken by experts from PECC and work with an international committee to conduct annual survey and draft report on the State of the Region

· Communicate the results of the research to the international community

· Write short briefs on the work of PECC delivered to various high-level audiences

· Fundraising

Qualifications

Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

· A Masters’ degree in international relations or related topics or 5 years or more work experience in a related field

· Have the capability to ably represent PECC before various events organized by member committees, regional and international bodies and forums on the substance of PECC’s policy recommendations

· Possess the ability to identify critical policy issues or challenges to be met by the Asia-Pacific community and initiate appropriate studies or research projects addressing those issues together with Task Force coordinators

· Fundraising ability in cooperation with PECC members

· Possess demonstrated administrative skills, networking, and leadership capabilities for the effective management of the routine operations of the PECC International Secretariat

Given the initial short-term duration of the role and the absence of funding to cover material moving expenses, candidates from Singapore or nearby are preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

1) Financial Accounting and Reporting

• Approve and review journal entries, including Blackline journal reconciliations, to ensure consistency and completeness of all postings with accurate coding, classification and aligned with local accounting standards
• Review the trial balance and general ledger entries for 2 to 3 APAC entities, ensuring alignment with accounting standards (local accounting standards, IFRS) and tax laws.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including supporting explanations and ensure follow up on outstanding balances and taking corrective actions where needed
• Performs variance analyses for movements on all accounts to keep financials free from probable errors and misstatements
• Be responsible for financial reporting processes, including preparation and review of annual financial statements

2) Audit and Compliance

• Maintains adherence to local statutory reporting rules, tax requirements for entities in region and lead communication with external and internal auditors, including planning, coordinating with auditors, and addressing queries
• Responsibility for the completion and review of internal and external statutory reporting and audit requirements and ensure compliance with local accounting standards, global processes, and company policies
• Collaborate with legal and tax teams to provide data and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Work closely with tax, transfer pricing, legal, AP, and treasury teams on various processes, including GST filings, transfer pricing adjustments, and legal compliance
• Prepares, review and submit government reports, and ad-hoc financial information requests

3) Operational Oversight

• Collaborate with the treasury team for activities such as capital injections, foreign payments, and cash flow management
• Provide support for ad-hoc requests, including certificates and documentation for tax and legal teams

4) Process Improvement and Problem Solving

• Identify and implement solutions and processes to address outstanding local requirements while aligning with global and regional processes
• Proactively address ad-hoc requests and design solutions for issues related to accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance

Do you have what it takes:

• BA degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or related
• More than 4 years of audit and/or financial controlling experience with consistent track record and solid experience in accounting regulations, preferably in a global MNC environment
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently
• Solid understanding of accounting standards like IFRS, with detailed understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of accounting and compliance
• Proficiency in financial systems, including SAP and Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with proven track record to collaborate across cross-functional teams and geographies, including APAC and global collaborators
• Fluency in Mandarin, in addition to English, is required to effectively support the Taiwan entity and liaise with Mandarin-speaking collaborators
• Strong problem-solving skills to address local-specific complexities and align them with global processes
