Marine Service Engineer

Salary: $3,000 to $5,000+Transport allowaance+AWS+VB

Office location: Tuas South Ave 10, T99, Working on site

Working Days: 5 days, Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm

We are looking for candidates with:

• A diploma/degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in Engine Repair & Maintenance.
• training will be provided.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct repair, maintenance, or overhaul of marine diesel engines (2 & 4 stroke) under the guidance of Engineers/Technicians.
• Adhere to all requirements for jobs in shipyards or anchorages.
• Lift and shift heavy engine components to and from the workshop for repair/reconditioning.
• Ensure prompt response and effective communication with customers.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operation Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant marine/mechanical/engineering qualification.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair is an advantage.
• training will be provided.
• Willingness to work in a shipyard/anchorage environment.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Job Scope
Oversees daily food preparation and assigned tasks, ensuring they align with the restaurant's established standards and quality.

• Executes daily responsibilities as per instructions and guidance from direct supervisors.
• Supervises and provides direction to junior staff members.
• Accurately assesses daily production requirements and evaluates the quality of raw and prepared foods to maintain set standards.
• Ensures food production, preparation, and presentation consistently meet the highest quality standards.
• Strives to maintain guest satisfaction while optimizing quality, operating efficiency, and food costs.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of standard procedures and policies related to food preparation, storage, receiving, and sanitation practices.
• Maintains full awareness of all menu offerings, including recipes, preparation techniques, and presentation guidelines.
• Adheres to best practices for food preservation and ensures proper handling of food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Takes personal responsibility for maintaining hygiene, safety, and proper use of kitchen equipment and tools.
• Engages in daily consultations with the Head Chef regarding operational needs, upcoming events, and last-minute changes.
• Sets a strong example for personal hygiene and cleanliness both during and outside of work hours.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic devices or systems.
• Conduct component-level repairs on printed circuit boards using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and similar equipment.
• Update, reset, and restore product software and systems as needed.
• Execute repair, troubleshooting, and upkeep tasks both in-house and occasionally on-site.
• Diagnose and resolve system and equipment issues on-site in various environments, such as indoor locations, outdoor areas, or vehicles.
• Participate in the setup, testing, and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Take on project responsibilities or other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Possess strong practical skills in electrical/electronic systems; experience with soldering is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Open to working beyond regular office hours and performing outdoor fieldwork when required.
• Holding a Class 2 or Class 3 driving license is advantageous.
• Preferably experienced in diagnosing and repairing industrial or electrical devices, automotive systems, or PCBA components at the component level.
• Holds an ITE or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (or similar), with at least 1-2 years of field service experience.
• Candidates with a relevant degree or more than 5 years of experience in a similar role may qualify for senior positions.
