Overview:

• The Assistant Director plays a crucial role in supporting the management of a captive insurance company. Responsibilities include overseeing annual insurance renewals, claims management and analytics, financial and regulatory reporting, administration, and conducting trainings on medico-legal claims.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate annual insurance and reinsurance renewal exercises promptly.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather underwriting information for renewals.
• Review and evaluate new insurance programs as required.
• Monitor and ensure the financial and operational health of the insurance operations.
• Analyse claims data to identify trends and risk areas.
• Conduct actuarial and analytical studies on historical claims data with professional actuarial consultants.
• Categorize claims for efficient analysis and future reference.
• Participate in quarterly claims meetings with brokers and reinsurers to review and determine reserves.
• Liaise with stakeholders on claims-related matters.
• Plan and organize legal claims trainings for stakeholders.
• Identify and collaborate with training providers, manage content curation, billing, and administration.
• Ensure timely submission of financial and regulatory reports.
• Prepare and conduct Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Board meetings.
• Conduct tenders for procurement activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• Proven experience in general insurance and finance.
• Strong number crunching and financial modelling skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as effective stakeholder management skills.
