• Performing an analysis on the historical and current financial performance of the clients.
• Performing a review of historical transactions.
• Investigating the cause of the insolvency.
• Assisting in the preparation of cash flow projections and assessing the validity of the assumptions adopted, taking into account the liquidity constraints / requirements of the client.
• Liaising with government bodies such as CPFB, IRAS, MOM and CPFB.
• Liaising with various stakeholders in the administration of various forms of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements (such as judicial management, liquidation and receivers and managers) including dealing with creditors’ queries, recovering and realizing assets and fulfilling the statutory obligations of the administrators.

Department:

Business Risk & Control Management (BRCM) function to strengthen its operational risk management practice. A critical part of the BRCM mandate is to carry out independent control testing on key processes to intercept issues early and to enhance operational controls where necessary. Candidates are required to perform the control testing on periodic basis (monthly / quarterly) and to provide findings and recommendations to Group Finance BRCM, and to stakeholders for implementation.

Job Description:

• Ascertain whether the Group Finance department has followed Key Risk and Control Self-Assessment (KRCSA) methodology in their control testing
• Perform independent testing to assess if controls are operating as intended.
• Document samples, test steps, results and findings
• Follow up with the department to put up action plan(s) for ineffective controls to ensure that prompt action is taken to prevent or minimize the potential occurrence of risk incidents
• Monitor the progress of action plans and report to BRCM
• Work closely with Country BRCM to roll out independent assurance review, incident escalation reporting, and OR programmes to ensure compliance with the related Group policies.

· Carry out Operations General Control testing in accordance with Assurance methodology and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risk within those function areas which include treasury products processing and custody operations.

· Adopt a range of sources and methods to obtain knowledge and apply judgment based on sound business knowledge of day-to-day assurance review work; this includes identifying and assessing key risks and designing testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls in place to mitigate risk.

· Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) and other teams in integrated assurance reviews and actively contribute to the delivery of team plans in support of the functional and business strategies under limited supervision.

· To support in Data Analytics use case testing and validations, to augment traditional control testing approach.

Job Descriptions

· Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in banks, audit, operations or risk management.

· Experience in usage of data analytics for audit or assurance work will be a strong plus.
