You will be involved in the following duties:

• Managing biosecurity risks associated with the import, transhipment and quarantine of animals and animal products. This includes:

- Conducting biosecurity inspections and surveillance of animals and animal products

- Carrying out risk assessments for movement of animals and animal products through Singapore

- Oversee daily operations at Changi Animal and Plant Quarantine (CAPQ)

- Managing non-compliances detected during import inspections

• Working and communicating with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders such as importers and overseas government organisations on the import/transhipment/export of animals and animal products

• Plan, lead and implement biosecurity projects from ideation to implementation

• Contribute to the development and innovation to improve service delivery in CAPQ

[What you will be working on]

The successful applicant shall be a core member of a team that provides technical inputs to agencies on impacts affecting terrestrial biodiversity. He/she will administer the biodiversity impact assessment process for terrestrial sites by (i) conducting field surveys or secondary research to assess the biodiversity of specific sites; and (ii) working with agencies to engage Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultants to carry out the required environmental studies. • Lead, plan and oversee exhumation programme
