• Interact positively and professionally with customers

• Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu and presentation standards for dishes

• Recommend and suggest orders to customers and up sell whenever possible

• Keep the stall area clean and organised throughout the day and dish washing.

• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.

• Handle cash transactions accurately, including receiving payments, providing change, and processing payments through a point-of-sale system

• Maintain cash register accuracy and reconcile sales at the end of the shift.

• Mon-Fri 12pm-8pm, Sat 10am-8pm (Six-days work week, 2x half hour meal break)

• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Possess Basic Cooking skills will be an advantage. (Deep-Frying and Pan-Frying)

• Possess valid WSQ certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene

• Basic math skills for cash handling

• Able to operate digital Point-of-Sale system

About the Role

Join our vibrant and growing Green Kitchen team in Kembangan! In this full-time position, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our business, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and ensuring office supplies are well-stocked
• Assisting Green Kitchen’s directors and team with daily problem-solving, email management, and workflow coordination
• Supporting the team with ad-hoc projects and tasks to keep our operations efficient and seamless

Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.

Able to cook Vegetarian, South Indian and Fusion dishes is a must as its part of the restaurant main dishes.

Must have experienced in cooking Vegan Indian fusion dishes.

Able to cook for events with more than 2000 pax as restaurant does a lot of catering.

Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering

Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

Controlling and directing the food preparation process

Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels

Being responsible for health and safety and food hygiene practices

Excellent knowledge of all sections

Ability to produce excellent high-quality food

Good oral communication

Team management skills

High level of attention to detail

Good level of numeracy

Able to start work by 3am and irregular off days.
