JOB SUMMARY:

Perform Line Maintenance work on Aircraft In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems and other aircraft equipment to ensure the serviceability and functionality of the system to ensure passenger experience is not affected. Carry out systems troubleshooting using PL 500 / PL 1500 / PL 2000 / PL 3000 / PL 3500, electronic theories, and test equipment. Remove and replace Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), Seat End, Head End in accordance with the Authority Regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete all administrative duties associated with the maintenance actions performed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

IFEC and Aircraft Systems Maintenance:

• Performing maintenance tasks, which include component replacement, adjustments, inspections, functional tests, and its certification, which includes but is not limited to removing and replacing components in accordance with all applicable documentation (AMM).
• Troubleshoot system failures down to Line Replaceable Units (LRU), head-end, seat-end, cabling, harnesses, or any other aircraft systems and perform functional tests post rectification.
• Perform Cabin Sweep in accordance with Panasonic LMPs and revert findings.
• Perform Built-in test equipment (BITE) and manual test.
• Assist Software and Media Loading.
• Assist MAFs
• Clean components and equipment racks if applicable in accordance with Maintenance Service Agreement.

• Position and align parts and components. Secure them in place or remove them using various appropriate methods including, soldering, crimping, fastening, gluing, etc.
• Test and troubleshoot complex analog and digital electronics systems to the component level. In other words, they are able to analyze both digital and analog electronic circuits and able to set up and operate test equipment.
• Assess the design configuration status of units under repair by referencing engineering documentation and maintenance manuals.
• Identify and navigate appropriate electronic engineering and maintenance documentation to conduct repair actions, and record required information on all repairs and publication discrepancies.
• To acquire the know-how and master the skills and product knowledge to maintain a wide variety of avionics equipment.

KEY QUALIFICATION

• Must have at least a Diploma or Higher Nitec/ Degree in Engineering/ Electronics Technology/ Aerospace Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably those with working experience troubleshooting in electronic products.

KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and understand schematics and other technical publications to facilitate troubleshooting, repair, and, testing of equipment.
• Understanding of electronic circuit design to facilitate fault isolation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to carry out tester set-up and calibration, and understand basic airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
• Ability to use Volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, frequency meters, distortion analyzers, audio and video signal generators, and semi-automatic test equipment.
• Ability to work on complex, miniature electromechanical devices using common hand tools, knowledgeable with the use of power tools.
• Excellent soldering techniques and an understanding of soldering techniques on surface mount technology where the acrylic conformal coating is used are required.
