We are seeking for an MEP Senior QS who will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, tendering, procurement, contract administration, and cost control related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within construction projects.

• STCW AII/2 certificate of competency (chief officer or master)
• Alternatively, a Bachelors or master’s degree in Naval Architecture, or,
• Other related qualification or similar practical work experience.
• Hold a valid medical certificate or seafarers medical (UK equivalent).
• You must have the physical ability and fitness levels to safely carry out the required surveys onboard vessels either at anchor or alongside in port facilities or offshore facilities and shipyards.

Experience

• Seagoing experience with a sound knowledge of shipboard operations and in particular a good understanding of cargo stowage and securing arrangements. Other similar experience working in port or terminal may also be considered.
• Preferably a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience working as a marine warranty surveyor or naval architect involved with marine transportation solutions or similar project management role.

Job Scope:

• Manage all aspects of cost and financial management for construction projects
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and industry standards
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project costs
• Provide advice on procurement strategies
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to meet timelines and budgets
• Oversee junior quantity surveyors and provide mentorship in cost management
• Handle contract negotiation and dispute resolution
• Monitor project progress and implement cost control measures

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/higher/Graduate Diploma in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Certain knowledge & experience in M&E system requirement.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
• Able to work independent with min supervision.
• Good knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office.
• Quick learner and willing to explore to new skill sets/technologies

• Position Title: Quantity Surveyor
• Working Location: Ang Mo Kio
• Working Hours: 5 Days (Mon – Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations, create Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and perform cost analysis.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers as per tender requirements.
• Compare materials and prices from suppliers and prepare a document checklist.
• Review architectural drawings, draft designs, and revised drawings for all electrical services using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Calculate electrical maximum demand requirements, including lighting, power, and consumption.
• Design and draft sketches for electrical services such as lighting layout, power layout, cable way layout, single line diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
• Draft and prepare As-Built Drawings.
• Coordinate site visits with relevant subcontractors and operation teams.
• Check quality control on-site as per design drawings.
