Self Run Concepts is a novelty F&B business unit that creates, owns, and operates a portfolio of creative and innovative concepts and drives a multi-brand portfolio.
Besides its key brand Heavenly Wang - Singapore’s No. 1 Halal-Certified Asian cafe which has a local heritage of over 70 years, it also currently runs 7-Time Michelin Bib Gourmand Brand - Shi Hui Yuan, as well as CHOMP! - a new Halal-certified brand that was conceptualized to offer local-favourite curry rice, kopi & toast and other asian delights.
In addition to these brands, we are also looking to create and expand more new and successful brands that complement the portfolio.

As the Lead in Operations, you will be expected to:
- Drive the overall operational and business performance which includes but not limited to Sales Revenue, Cost Management initiatives and monitors closely to meet targets
- Develop, set and communicate clear operating standards for existing and new brands and ensure that the teams execute based on these operating standards - delivering safety, hygiene and quality operating standards are met
- Build a positive, growth mindset culture and ensure team alignment with business’s mission and values
- Adherence to all licensing laws regarding the service of food and beverage, public and employee safety while in compliance with local food safety standards
- Lead the operations for all new brands conceptualized under SRC (Self Run Concepts)
Operations Management
- Implement strategies (advertising, promotions, reward system, suggestive selling) to meet or improve financial performance
- Create POS keys for new products/promotions and ensure healthy stock inventory for the business
- Analyze past financial, sales profit to spot trends and threats and opportunities (in regular Operations Meeting)
- Prepare monthly budgets and forecasts for new product launches, costs of food, staff, operations based on past data, risks and opportunities.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and suggest solutions for improvement
- Enforce outlet audit check form and assist Area Managers to manage their stores better
- Ensuring customer service feedback/reviews are consistently tracked, addressed and uphold the service standards set
- Participate in assigned Operations related projects directed by Senior Management.
- Create reports for Senior Management
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by Senior Management
Talent & Financial Management
- Commits and accounts for the overall profit and loss of each brand portfolio
- Drive targets for Sales Revenue, Cost Management initiatives and monitors closely whether these targets are met weekly and monthly
- Analyse POS reports and sales trends, recommend and implement cost control exercises, and improvements to onsite sales and marketing tools
Strategy and Business Development
- Develop and execute on the growth strategy for the business such as introducing efficient and productive ways to trade. (delivery, self-ordering systems)
- Develop and update the operational playbook for local and overseas expansion including service standards, SOPs, design guidelines, brand guidelines, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key business partners, internal and external stakeholders
- Drives the opening and store-build of new brands/stores
- Adopt and inculcate the Customer First mindset in Ops team
- Work closely with Culinary & Marketing counterparts in implementing and ensuring success of new products, A&P Promotions (eg Limited Time Offers, Flash Deals, Occasion-driven programme) that suit the business needs of different stores.
- Keep abreast of trends and competitions, store trading area changes such as customer profile & competitive actions / reactions to grow revenue.
- Identify and implement collaborative partnerships wherein necessary to enhance the overall business sustainability plans, including supporting Franchisee’s operations manual wherein required
Human Capital Management
- Provide emotional and technical support to Ops team to build up motivation and morale
- Develop a positive workforce culture that defines the brands and business
- Train and onboard new employees
- Work closely with HR Business Partner to align HR policies and reward systems in order to motivate and enhance the welfare of staff
- Adopt and inculcate the Customer First mindset in all staff
- Initiate staff development and training plans according to the needs of the business
- Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and train new employees, or oversee the administrative processes
- Work with the Talent Team regarding employee movements, incentives and performance feedback

Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Food & Beverage Management and/or Hospitality and Tourism
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience working in similar roles in the F&B industry
- Good understanding of performance evaluation metrics
- Required to travel from store-to-store frequently
- Required to work on off-office hours as and when required
- Good F&B industry knowledge and familiar with different strategies used by industry players and competitors
- Good know-how in operating mobile digital devices (eg Grabfood, Foodpanda delivery devices)
- Competent with basic financial analysis
- Effective problem-solving skill
