Overview

As the Lead Engineer at Synapxe, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT Systems. As an experienced Systems Engineer, you will continue to optimise systems performance to ensure its availability. The role will allow you to contribute to the overall success of Synapxe and public healthcare.

Role and Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Lead the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions such as Server OS, Active Directory, VMware and related services.
• Ensure the architecture aligns with business objectives and best practices.

Systems Enhancement and Maintenance:

• Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment.
• Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Implement monitoring tools and systems to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.
• Continuously optimize system performance and capacity.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical systems and data.
• Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures.

Troubleshooting and Resolution:

• Oversee the assessment of risks to systems.
• Identify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholders.
• Provide escalation support for issues presented by the user.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer systems, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 9 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of server administration, operating systems (Windows and Linux/Unix), virtualization technologies, and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT

· At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

· Should have good experience in microservices API development, and good knowledge in Java framework.

· Expert in implementing AWS core services like Fargate, EC2, RDS, VPC, ELB, EBS, S3, etc.

· Prior experience in data migration projects from on prem to AWS cloud infrastructure.

· Previous working experience in banking domain is desired.

Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group (MPVG) is a business unit of MVH Asia, seeks an experienced Lead Veterinarian to lead its veterinary team.

The Lead Veterinarian manages the clinic/s and ensure the highest quality of veterinary care, exceptional client service, associate engagement and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team. This position advocates for pets and their quality of life; builds a long term bonding relationship with clients; contributes to the development and maintenance of the human-pet bond; educates clients and hospital associates on all aspects of pet health. The Lead Veterinarian partners with the Practice Manager (if applicable) to operate an effective and productive veterinary medical team, ensure a safe and engaging clinic environment, and improve both the medical quality and business performance of the clinic/s.

The ratio of time spent on leadership duties and practicing veterinarian responsibilities will vary depending on the clinic/s situation; the Lead Veterinarian must use good judgment in prioritizing their duties on any given day, ensuring clinic/s productivity. On average, the ratio is expected to be about 20%-30% leadership duties and 70%-80% veterinarian duties.

Leadership Responsibilities (approximately 20-30% of time):

• Partner with the Practice Manager (if applicable) to manage the clinic/s as role models and champions of the MPVG brand to provide consistent high quality care and exceptional service to the most pets and clients and to maximize efficiency, productivity and profitability. Train the team on MPVG guidelines and practices and supervise associates to ensure compliance.
• Oversee and train associates on professional, efficient and exceptional client service (lead by example), to include client education about preventive care, pet health needs, clinic/s services, marketing campaigns, and other related information; effectively resolve client issues.
• Follow all MPVG protocols and practices and be responsible for ensuring that associates achieve practice priorities while building our culture and brand.
• Identify potential “bottlenecks” and formulate solutions to remove barriers in medical operations that would impede the doctors from providing world class care.
• Partner with the Director Veterinary Quality, Field Director, and Practice Manager (if applicable) to interview, select, train, develop, coach, mentor and, if necessary, discipline and terminate clinic associates.
• Direct, lead and mentor Veterinarians to realize their full professional potential and deliver outstanding, high quality medical care, client service and business results.
• Work with the Director Veterinary Quality to establish development plans (PDPs) for Veterinarians, and focus teams to deliver the practice priorities and exceed goals while building our culture and brand.
• Effectively create and maintain veterinarians’ schedules and work with Practice Manager to schedule associates to meet client needs according to MPVG guidelines, while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling.
• Provide effective communication between associates, clients, field leadership and regional support team.
• Act as communications liaison, including holding routine clinic team meetings, sharing business information and messaging to all clinic associates, ensuring they remain informed, engaged and have opportunities to provide feedback.
• Provide inspirational leadership to the team by creating a positive professional relationship with the Practice Manager, clients, field leadership and regional support team.
• Create a collaborative environment and develop an efficient, productive clinic team that provides the highest quality care and service to the most pets and clients.
• Develop annual planning, budgeting and clinic productivity levels for the clinic in partnership with the Practice Manager (if applicable), Field Director and Director Veterinary Quality.
• Partner with area Field Director and Director Veterinary Quality to execute market objectives, goals, strategies and measurements (OGSMs).
• Participate in market level teams, discussions, and initiatives.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to deliver outstanding financial results for assigned clinic/s.
• Responsible for the development of technical, medical skills for veterinary assistants/technicians.
• Responsible for ensuring all associates adhere to MPVG dress and grooming guidelines.
• Provide leadership to other area clinic/s as needed throughout the market.
• Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures and with all local, state and federal laws.

Veterinarian Responsibilities (70-80% of time):

• Establish trust and gain the confidence and compliance of clients through effectively delivering appropriate preventive care, performing complete diagnostic workups, developing thorough treatment plans, communicating home care instructions, and planning follow-up visits.
• Assimilate information gathered through effective history taking, physical examination and diagnostic workup to arrive at an appropriate and effective clinical decision.
• Practice evidence-based medicine and preventive care when data or guidelines exist, using sound judgment when they do not.
• Practice veterinary medicine in a manner compliant with the Animal & Veterinary Service and Mount Pleasant Veterinary Groups’ (MPVG) Code of Conduct and Ethics, along with appropriate medical record documentation; ensure the clinic team maintains complete medical records that meet practice quality control guidelines.
• Lead the veterinary clinic team through the daily schedule and caseload, delegating tasks to paraprofessionals and improving clinic efficiency.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service, including prescribing and administering preventive care for the wellness needs of pets as well as diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of pets.
• Advocate for preventive care and adoption of wellness plans.
• Effectively communicate diagnosis and treatment plan to veterinary medical team and client.
• Prescribe and administer drugs and vaccines as appropriate.
• Perform surgery on pets as necessary for the treatment of pets within MPVGs protocols, using standard medical instruments and equipment.
• Promote the safety of pets, clients and associates by ensuring the clinic team is utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard practice guidelines, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and laboratory areas.
• Strive to achieve performance metrics outlined by medical and field leadership.
• Demonstrate integrity and ethics in all actions and behaviors.
• Address and resolve client concerns arising from the medical care of a pet.
• Develop strong lasting relationships with clients.
