Principal Accountabilities

• Teach on academic programmes ranging from Certificate to Postgraduate level.
• Undertake the role as a Programme Leader and Module Leader across the various programmes as assigned.

Teaching & Learning

• Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions ranging from Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.
• Setting and marking of coursework and examination, conduct internal moderation in alignment with course and module specifications and university partner requirements.
• Take on the role as Programme Leader and Module Leader.
• Design and develop high quality curriculum and course materials within the existing academic framework, including blended learning materials
• Review on a regular basis programme content, course materials and methods of delivery, and advice on learning and teaching issues.
• Support or lead the projects in the design and development of new programmes, and to prepare the documentation needed for the approval process.
• Provide academic consultation to students, and advise students with respect to academic performance, career opportunities, and pursuit of advanced studies.
• Review the student module evaluation and conduct the student focus groups or Student-Staff Liaison meetings.
• Engage in student development by providing strong learning support and monitoring of students’ academic performances.
• Manage teaching assignments for Associate Lecturers under the quality assurance policies of School/Institution, and to ensure teaching load and schedules are planned effectively with programme scheduler.

Team work and Miscellaneous duties

• Extend and enhance the work of the department by promoting programmes and encouraging staff to develop innovative approaches to activities such as student recruitment and retention.
• Attend department and programme meetings in order to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within and across teams.
• Participate in the school’s events, marketing campaigns and projects Conducting seminars and workshops within and out of the School/Institution.
• Other administrative duties/projects as assigned by Reporting Officer/ HOS.

Requirements

• Master’s degree/PhD in Cyber Security or any other related specialization
• Candidates with excellent tutorial delivery skills will also be considered.
• Teaching qualifications, e.g. ACTA will be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Strong oral and writing communication skills.
• Experience in new programme development and managing university programmes (UK / Australia).
• Willing to work shift hours (e.g. day and evenings).

Responsibilities:

Teaching & Preparation

• Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials/workshops and laboratory sessions to certificate, diploma and undergraduate students (including overseas, if required).
• Monitor student progress through the application of assessment strategies that support appropriate feedback and skills development.
• Contribute to the development of intellectual property for the School.
• Liaise with industry on clinical placements.

Exam QA & Moderation

• Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examination.
• Review and ensure the quality of examination papers under area(s) of specialisation.
• Conduct objective assessments on examination appeal cases in the area of sports science.

Lecturer Management

• Assist in the management and development of Diagnostic Radiography academics.
• Review assignment of proposed Diagnostic Radiography teaching assignments.
• Conduct classroom observation as required.

Student Management

• Engage in student development by providing strong learning support and monitoring of students’ academic performance in life science.
• Advise students with respect to academic performance, career opportunities and the pursuit of advanced studies in the area of Diagnostic Radiography.
• Manage students’ clinical placements in the industry.

Curriculum Management & Development

• Contribute to the review, design and development of Diagnostic Radiography programmes and modules to ensure continued relevance and quality improvement of curricula.
• Programme/ Module leader for Diagnostic Radiography courses.
• Develop course materials for new modules as required.
• Prepare course/ module review reports of internal and external Diagnostic Radiography programmes.
• New programme development preliminary module mapping tasks.

External Partners Liaison

• Assist in liaising with university course coordinators on academic matters related to Diagnostic Radiography courses where necessary.
• Attend visits by programme partners and academics in Diagnostic Radiography.

Learning & Development

• Contribute to departmental, faculty, or institution- -wide working groups or committees as requested.
• Maintain own continuing professional development, in addition to training and development provided by the institution.

Requirements:

• Masters in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• 5 years of working experience in related industry
• 3 years of teaching experience at diploma level or above
• Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
• Strong oral and writing skills
