Job Description

The role requires an experienced legal secretary to provide full spectrum of secretarial service to the Managing Partner and her team specialising in disputes and resolution; investigations and white-collar crime; employment and industrial relations; and strategic and business advisory.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing workload effectively to provide timely and accurate support to lawyers

• Assisting lawyers with their calendar management, organising of internal/external meetings, organising of travel arrangements and expenses claims

• Matter project administration including but not limited to matter opening, time recording, filing, preparing and sending out of bills including bill narrations, and archiving

• Preparing legal documents and court bundles

• Assisting with e-litigation (Court filings and calendar) and searches (ACRA etc)

• Undertaking other general secretarial administrative tasks (typing, filing, printing, scanning, etc.)

Requirements:

• Preferably with legal secretarial or paralegal experience supporting legal teams specialising in disputes and resolution

• Experience in e-litigation

• Good written and verbal English communication skills

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and possess strong interpersonal skills

• A meticulous, responsible, proactive and team player

The successful candidate will be offered monthly remuneration which will be competitive with leading international law firms, and commensurate with his or her experience.

Job Scope:

• Provides a broad range of routine paraprofessional, technical, and administrative support services to the General Counsel, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, booking and coordinating travel and visas, processing expenses and handling correspondences.
• Prepare and manage budgets for the legal and secretariat department.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for budgeting purposes.
• Maintain databases of key records, website postings of policies and procedures
• Organize and maintain confidential legal documents, records, and files.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for the General Counsel.
• Maintain department calendars and monitor time-sensitive deadlines for legal matters.
• Coordinate reporting by the different teams within the department.
• Act as a liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Undertake general office management tasks, such as coordinating logistics for department meetings and events, such as the annual Group Functional Meet
• Support General Counsel in any ad hoc initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in any field
• Proven experience in providing comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals or in a corporate setting.
• Proactive in support and identifying efficiencies.
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience as paralegal/ relevant department

Job Responsibilities

• Support the ESG & Public Policy practice
• Collecting and analysing data for reporting, benchmarking across competitors and industries as well as researching key sustainability trends and topics
• Writing reports and analysis papers, including developing thought leadership on material ESG issues and strategies, competitive dynamics, economic trends, public policy issues, and market intelligence
• Managing submissions to regulatory agencies, and assisting clients on ESG compliance matters
• Reviewing internal ESG reports and working with internal functions to collect data on ESG matters
• Building and managing client relationships

Job Requirements

• Must possess the relevant educational background in sustainability, environmental science, business, economics, strategy, finance or related disciplines
• At least 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience in sustainable finance, sustainability consulting or audit roles
• Technical understanding of key sustainability standards, impact measurement methodologies, corporate greenhouse gas emissions measurement is preferred
• Possess strong understanding of corporate sustainability concepts and how ESG factors affect company performance and/or investment outcomes across sectors
• Excellent research, data management and analytical skills
• Track record in delivering results and working towards a common goal within a diverse team environment
