Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup. Soon we would be expanding into other simple and valuable robots for the construction industry.

This role reports to the Branch General Manager.

• Establish and Manage Legal Operations:Set up legal frameworks for Affiliates, tailored to their specific needs (e.g., staffing, budget, language).
  Handle legal matters to support business activities, profitability, and risk management.
  
• Collaboration:Work closely with Affiliate management, legal staff, and other departments (e.g., marketing, procurement, engineering).
  Build and strengthen legal systems in partnership with key stakeholders.
  
• Support for Smaller Affiliates:Actively engage in legal operations (e.g., contract reviews, dispute resolution) for Affiliates without dedicated legal staff.
  Collaborate with local attorneys to create tools like contractual checklists and negotiation guidance.
  
• Regional Oversight:Manage and supervise the legal operations of each Affiliate.
  Provide strategic guidance on legal matters, ranging from large projects to routine transactions.
  
• Hands-on Approach:Strengthen legal frameworks for larger Affiliates.
  Directly lead and implement legal practices in smaller Affiliates, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  

The Successful Applicant

• Master's degree or higher in law or from equivalent institutions related to the relevant business.
• Experience in international legal affairs, particularly in litigation or dispute resolution.
• Experience in leading teams
• Background in the construction industry (desirable)
• Ability to identify business issues, develop solutions, propose, and implement them effectively
• Strong negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and experienced working in multi-cultural environment as most staff in Affiliates are located outside Common Law jurisdictions (e.g., Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines).

MAIN PURPOSE

To assist on producing key reports and analytics for CMI and share insights drawn for these reports to different markets, as well as any other adhoc support for various meetings/ workshops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist on regional data management:
• Collect and cleanse raw data from various reports/ data portals and from regional digital team, local brand teams, and local/ regional finance teams
• Produce key reports such as quarterly EC reporting and analysis on market movements – covering market share by channel, product vs. competitors, media insights such as Share of voice vs. competitors.
