Position:

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) invites applications for an open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) tenure track position in Sustainability, with a specific focus on environmental policy and governance, sustainable development, or environmental sociology to begin in July of 2025. Purpose and Scope

Scrutinize and review major investments and advise on legal risk in industrial parks, ready built factories/warehouses (RBF/RBW) and commercial and residential property projects including M&A / divestments, corporate restructuring, leases and other contracting requirements for day-to-day business.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Advising on Joint Venture matters (including JV governance).
• Liaise with business units on governance and compliance related matters in respect of frameworks and policies initiated by the Sembcorp Group Legal and Group Ethics & Compliance function (including anti-bribery/corruption) supporting the rollout of these policies (including assistance with training) and implement and monitor compliance on such policies and frameworks.
• Assess the impact of new/amended regulations on the business and present to the managements appropriate steps that may be taken in countering the impact and/meeting legal requirements.
