Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting / Professional tax qualification is highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience (Big 4 + corporate tax experience is preferred). Candidate from Big 4 are welcome to apply

Objectives of the Position

• Experienced Global Business Expert for the processes Manufacturing, Site Logistics and P2P for supply chain (including Tolling Execution). Part of the Global Supply Chain Process Excellence team with members located in Europe, Asia, North America and South America.

Main Tasks:

• Implement new organizational and / or technical concepts for processes MFG (Manufacturing), SL (Site Logistics), P2P (Purchase-to-pay) in strong alignment with relevant stakeholders including global process owners. Facilitate and contribute to change and test management activities.
• Drive innovation and automation activities, e.g., based on RPA (Robotics Process Automation) technology. Continuously assess improvement potentials and implement new solutions when available.
• Track and address adherence to business rules and processes including monitoring via KPIs, process mapping tools, and reports.
• Lead regional, sub-regional and local key-user communities to enforce continuous communication and best practice exchange.
• Lead projects or projects workstreams with cross-organizational or cross-functional aspects, e.g. S/4HANA implementation or supply chain integration of acquired businesses.
• Execute key-user and end-user support including Issue-solving in day-to-day business, training, monitoring tasks and data maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, with a strong focus on order-to-cash and transportation management processes and tools.
• Experience in Agricultural business is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Process knowledge: Deep knowledge of supply chain, operations, and logistics processes. Experience with analysis and monitoring tools, e.g. SAP transactions, BW applications, data lake queries.
• Organizational knowledge: Awareness about organizational structures in BASF, interaction between divisions and corporate / service functions.
• IT knowledge: Detailed knowledge of Microsoft standard applications, SAP ERP, and related tools for MFG, SL and P2P purposes.
• Process design / modeling: Capability to use process modeling tools (e.g. Signavio) for process mapping and design.
• Project management: Experience in contributing to projects or leading workstreams of projects. Ability to manage own workload, set priorities and regular reporting of progress to stakeholders. Change management skills.
• Customer-Centricity: A strong commitment to enhancing the customer and business partner experience throughout the process areas of manufacturing, site logistics and P2P.

Key responsibilities:

• Leads the development of application architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers. Takes full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organization. Support the establishment of policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency. Ensures that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to. Within a business change programme, manages the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the programme.
• Contributes to the creation and review of a systems capability strategy for responsible area to meet the strategic requirements of the business. Develops models and plans to drive forward the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance. Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organization and equipment.
• Provides leadership and guidelines for responsible area to promote the development and exploitation of IT technologies for next generation practices in the complex capital equipment manufacturing business.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architect, Digital and Data architect, Infrastructure architect and IT Security architect to identify synergies and dependencies in IT roadmap to avoid unnecessary reworks.
• Drives the development and recruitment of application architecture and solution design competency and capability set that meets the company needs
• Analyses business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components. Evaluates the financial, cultural, technological, organizational and environmental factors which must be addressed in the change programme. Establishes client requirements for the implementation of significant changes in organizational mission, business functions and process, organizational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have (education & experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Mininum 15 years relevant corporate IT or equivalent experience, in a multicultural environment with manufacturing companies in the > $3B range, with progressive increases in role and responsibility.
• Strong Leadership, and had managed a team size of >10+
• Strong knowledge in SAP Materials Management (MM) and Ariba (Supply Chain Collaboration, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Lifecycle) for sourcing & procurement.
• Strong knowledge in SAP MM and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), for supply chain logistics.
• Strong integration knowledge to Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of RFID and EDI would be a bonus.
• Broad and deep knowledge of enterprise solutions implemented in complex capital equipment manufacturing business contexts especially product configuration, engineering, manufacturing solutions and service management

Demonstrated:

• Led SAP blueprinting efforts for at least 5 sizable projects that involves complex capital equipment manufacturing business contexts. Experience with deep involvement in a S/4HANA implementation project end-to-end would be a bonus.
