Strong influencing skills are imperative, as the role also entails coaching leaders and employees of a different company. Additionally, adept team building and delegation skills are crucial, given that coaching will encompass a blend of on-site and remote activities.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, you will work with the regional manufacturing leadership team to develop a strategic roadmap for manufacturing within the region. The focus will be on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness. You will also be responsible for guiding and influencing partners to adopt lean thinking and for building or enhancing foundational capabilities in quality management systems, industrial engineering, and value engineering to ensure the on-time delivery of the right product. Additionally, you will support Nike’s manufacturing country sourcing strategies to improve product and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring smooth production line launches with high quality, low manufacturing costs, and shorter lead times.

You will also be responsible for introducing and developing new manufacturing technologies and processes to promote product excellence, boost productivity, optimize costs, and reduce lead times. They also collaborate with Nike product creation teams to refine construction standards, facilitate end-to-end digital connectivity, drive manufacturing modernization, and establish KPIs and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing engineering initiatives and digitalization efforts.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will lead a team of Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing System Engineers to develop and implement foundational capabilities (Lean, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Garment Engineering) and Advanced capabilities (Automation & Digitization) across Nike’s APAC supplier base. This role will report to a Senior Director, Innovation & Manufacturing Engineering based in Singapore.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Must have 8-10 years of pertinent experience in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, encompassing Shopfloor Automation, Robotics, Tooling Engineering, Design for Manufacturing, Digital Technologies, Garment Engineering, and related areas.
• Proficiency in General Sewing Data and background in factory capacity planning & management.
• Proven track record of driving large-scale transformations, including Digital Transformation and factory automation initiatives.
• Experience leading organization-wide initiatives with multi-stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity and experience deploying Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is highly desirable.
• Ability to envision the future, develop strategies and roadmaps to realize that vision, establish partnerships, and implement solutions.
• Strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to develop individuals and teams.
• Aptitude for collaborating with multi-cultural, multi-layered, global teams to achieve success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach others for development.
• Relevant training/certificates/experience: Industrial Engineering or similar discipline from an accredited university; a postgraduate degree in engineering or management (MBA) is advantageous.

We’re searching for a Director to be part of our Facilities diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to establish systems/guidance in sustaining and improving all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.

What you will be working on:

• Ensure continuous key infrastructure and utilities services supply to meet production demands
• Process requests, verify problems & challenges, sorting out solutions and engaging internal technical team and/or vendors to implement the solutions
• Ensure that all facilities maintenance activities are planned and executed properly and always maintained to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Formulate and implement operating procedures and preventive maintenance programs for systems to ensure that the systems function as intended at all times
• Monitor and review system performance and capacity usage to ensure continuity of cleanroom operations with zero disruptions
• Review, recommend and implement changes to workflow to achieve company and department goals in relation to cost saving and operational improvement
• Participate in the expansion facility and continuous improvement projects
• Perform/support quality investigations in a timely and thorough manner
• Work closely with Operations and Quality team ensuring optimal plant performance
• Lead in troubleshooting issues and drive root cause analysis
• Manage periodic reporting on status of all key activities
• Ensure plant complies with internal SOPs, external regulatory and EHS requirements
• Lead companywide Environmental, health and safety requirements
• Support any other duties as assigned by management

More About You:

• Master/Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic)
• Min 15 years of relevant experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab environment
• Experience in senior management position preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Cleanroom systems, UPW, Chemical and Gas systems
• Good knowledge of facilities management
• Good knowledge of EHS requirements and ISO standards
