Job Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the features: Analyze, design, and deploy high-quality maintainable and scalable software based on business need. As one of our Vietnam employees, you will get the chance to take complete end-to-end ownership of projects.
• Develop and deploy highly scalable and available backend solutions on cloud or on-premise infrastructure, using best practise tool and automation tools.
• Collaborate very closely with, and incorporate feedback from engineering, operations and business teams to develop solutions as per the product roadmap, in collaboration with the subject matter experts, to ensure maximal efficiency of the solution.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of working experience in best practice for the entire SDLC.
• Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of high-scale web applications on cloud. (e.g. well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, service-meshes, message queues, distributed caching, efficient algorithms).
• Familiar with container-based applications and orchestration tools (Docker and Kubernetes) for coding and debugging.
• Experience with writing unit & integration tests, monitoring code coverage etc.
• Experience delivering a high-quality product as an individual (or open-source) contributor as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
• DevOps mindset for monitoring and deploying code with versioning tools and CI/CD.
• Ability to drive projects and work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with “can do” attitude seeking to make a difference. Must be willing to work with an internationally distributed team.

Tech Stack

Responsibilities

• Broad experience in designing, programming & implementing large distributed systems with microservices.
• Deep understanding of Application, Infrastructure, Security Architecture & non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, etc.
• Translate functional requirements into design.
• Work with technical SMEs to understand their requirements & ensure they are met.
• Define best practices & standards for the microservice implementation.
• Identify & define implementation patterns.
• Lead activities to build accelerators & tools to increase the quality of deliverables.
• Evaluate industry technologies to shape the design of services in consideration of cost, portability, compatibility, or usability factors.
• Identifies & makes appropriate changes to technologies, integrated platforms & systems to meet customer & operational requirements.
• Continuously seeks to more efficiently manage & utilize technology, platforms & systems.
• Highlights design risks, provides alternative options & recommends quality solutions to specified problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical experience in architecture development, integration of backend systems & development.
• Strong Hands–on experience in developing applications using Java/J2EE, with Spring boot framework knowledge & experience.
• Deep knowledge of SOA, Architecture & Design on Microservices, REST Services & Soap Services Development.
• Experience in core Java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Springboot, testing framework Junit & Cucumber.
• Strong hands-on with design patterns, and clean code.
• Strong hands-on in Java Microservices (Springboot) Restful APIs & Soap Services.
• Experience in designing & coding scalable Microservices.
• Experience with middleware / messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, and Kafka & exposure to event-driven design patterns.
• Experience in Spring Cloud.
• Experience in API Management using an API Gateway.
• Experience in writing deployment pipelines to deploy Java microservices in Kubernetes.
• Should be very strong in creating / defining Swagger specs for REST APIs & understand REST principles & guidelines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication protocol.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PCI & Security Coding Standards.

GOOD to HAVE

• Experience with MSSQL, data modelling, query development & performance optimization.
• Experience in business rule management systems or rules engines such as JBoss, JRules, JPBM, iLog, Drools, etc.
• Working experience in modelling business logic and automating business processes using TIBCO Business Works and EMS messaging.
• Experience in migrating TIBCO services to spring boot microservices.
• Experience in the Gaming & Hospitality industry would be an advantage.

What You'll be Doing

• Provide operational and administrative support in the running of the daily operations.
• Support escalation management, including reporting, investigating, and resolving issues promptly.
• Involve with Project Management, including designing digital user journey, developing test cases based on business requirements and conducting end-to-end testing for the digital platform.
• Propose and implement process improvement and system enhancement to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and develop strategies and support marketing collaterals to drive adoption of the digital platform.
• Establish effective collaborations within the team and with other departments, clinics and service partners.
• Train and support the clinic staffs and stand-in to perform clinic duties when necessary.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

• Familiar in designing digital user journey, user acceptance testing (UAT) and project management will be an added advantage.
