Job Purpose

This position will assist and support the hiring manager in the development, commercialization and management of cash management solutions in Asia Pacific. His/her primary responsibility and focus will be liabilities products and solutions. He/she will also support virtual account management and liquidity management products and solutions.

This role involves close cooperation with Head Office, product counterparts and product partners in each SMBC Branch/subsidiary in Asia Pacific region.

Job Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy, Development & Commercialization

• Develop, manage, commercialize and roll out cash management products and services in all Asia Pacific countries, in particular Liabilities products and solutions.
• Formulate and implement Liabilities growth strategies for different industry verticals/client segments.
• Define and execute the Liabilities product roadmap aligned with client needs, growth strategies, operational efficiency and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is must.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in transaction banking.
• The candidate should possess experience in Liabilities products and solutions, preferably in product management and delivery within APAC region.

The Tax team supports organisations at every stage of the lifecycle – from structuring business tax effectively and managing any employment tax issues to transactional tax obligations and compliance. Job responsibilities

Qualifications and requirements

• Recognised Degree and/or relevant Professional Qualification

• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Strong leadership, communication (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to understand clients’ requirements and groom the team

• In depth expertise in at least one of the Data and Analytics domains – data strategy development, data warehouse & big data implementation, business intelligence applications, machine learning / artificial intelligence domains
• Good knowledge of the Information Management framework, including operating model, data governance,data management, data security, data quality and data architecture.
• Strong skills in Agile delivery implementation methodology and delivery practices leveraging DevOpsautomation and engineering using CI/CD tools, code repositories and issue tracking and management.
• Experience in developing analytics application on public cloud stacks (Azure, AWS or GCP)

• Manage and coach the administration team members of Specialized Product Team
• Handle, check or approve the transaction administration: the securities settlement, custodian arrangement
• Handle, check or approve internal control sheets or execution slips related to regular transaction administration; oversee the BAU matters related to execution / ongoing transaction management
• Review transaction documentation on the pre-closing, and monitor its adherence on the post-closing for securitization and structured credit transactions, by working closely with the clients and transaction counterparties (e.g. legal counsel, accounting firm, trustee, custodian, securities clearing house)
• Regular reporting on compliance, account closing, audit or internal control required for the department. Ensure the corresponding procedures are complying with the internal rules and external regulations
• Propose improvement plan to streamline the group’s business procedure, in order to raise its effectiveness and efficiency for business developmen
