As part of our Operations Consultancy Practice, you will be responsible for providing guidance to Changi’s overseas airports, as well as client airports in operational areas, such as the planning and management of passenger terminals, airside operations, Airport Operational Control Centre (AOCC) management, cargo operations, operational efficiency, Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) etc.

You will need to analyse operational flows / processes and the passenger journey, to identify pain points and be able to recommend solutions i.e., in areas of process / facility / system reorganisation etc. The aim is to help our airports improve operational efficiency, while managing costs effectively. In addition, you may need to guide or support our asset and client airports in developing processes, SOPs and manuals to meet regulatory, operational and business needs.

You will need to engage our airports’ partners and their stakeholders, as well as work with colleagues from different areas e.g., Commercial, Traffic Development, Master-planning, Project Management etc. in developing integrated solutions for our clients.

To perform well in this role, you must have an analytical mind and be able to quickly identify the root causes and issues affecting operations and ultimately, customer service. Naturally, you must also possess sound operational thinking, while being able to effectively manage partners and implement solutions in a cost-effective manner. Being a team player and being able to adapt to the different needs of each project is a must. The candidate must be able to travel for work and work across cultures and nationalities, as all our projects are overseas projects.

In addition, you will be required to:

• Work with our counterparts at our asset and client airports to resolve operational issues
• Perform a monthly review of asset and client airports’ operations and preparation of related materials
• Provide advisory on operational matters in various projects and Business Development, as part of integrated consultancy solutioning
• Provide review of operational and related budgetary matters for asset and client airports
• Handle other projects and Operational Practice related duties as assigned
• Lead Business Development initiatives and take on project management roles, where necessary

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in developing, planning and managing Operations is required, preferably in the airport, airline or ground handling industries.
• A recognised degree
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to utilise various analytical / productivity tools
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (whether through face to face or video presentations, reports and papers, presentation decks, etc.)
• Able to travel overseas for work is a given.
• Able to conduct fieldwork onsite, as required.
• Open to overseas postings
• Open to be cross-trained in other aspects of airport management, including commercial and traffic development.
• Analytical and strong business acumen with ability to think on the feet.

Reporting to: Managing Director

Purpose: Lead the strategy of continuous improvement of operational performance within the business whilst navigating change in demand and priorities. Ownership of leading the team to build a culture of engagement and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities and tasks

• Direct and oversee the various operations functions such as the despatch, service performance, accident prevention, customer service, schedules, mileage reconciliation and operations data analysis.
• Provide leadership and guidance to managers on all operations related matters. Where possible, facilitate the exchange of best practices from the Group to the Singapore operations.
• Ensure that bus services are delivered in a reliable and punctual basis in line with our contractual requirements and internal KPIs.
• Lead and exceed Group and contractual performance targets as measured by relevant KPIs to achieve incentive payments.
• Plan and execute functional strategies and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Hold and deploy a comprehensive understanding of the operational context and regulatory framework.
• Overarching responsibility of deployment of new operational schedules with due regard for cost and efficiency, alongside a work life balance for our driver team.
• Set and deliver a high standard of customer (passenger) satisfaction performance
• Ensure the contractual requirements for revenue protection on our network of services.
• Set and deliver a high standard on accident prevention and good driving practices.
• Closely collaborate with Human Resources to ensure sufficient drivers are recruited to maintain coverage of service.

• Develop partnerships with stakeholders, industry regulators and other relevant parties to meet the company’s objectives.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Substantial and successful bus operation experience (or similar industry) in a senior operational role leading similar size workforce.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in bus service performance, bus scheduling and general depot operations.
• A detailed understanding of a comparable operating environment and bus regulatory framework.
• Experience in leading teams through change through an inclusive and engaging leadership style.
• Able to demonstrate strategic thinking, execution, and business impact, and bringing teams with them.
• An experienced influencer who is comfortable challenging teams and senior stakeholders when needed.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Provides executive leadership to a major manufacturing / supply chain function supporting a large and complex business unit. May lead functional operations at multiple manufacturing sites. Establishes and monitors production using metrics/budgets through systems, and initiates appropriate corrective action as needed and based on results. Establishes and controls project schedules, timelines.
2. Plans and evaluates optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation to minimize costs and allow for on-time delivery of product to customers. Accurately establishes plant capacity.
3.
