SWAT is looking for a Business & Data Analyst to join the Analytics Team. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to think critically, is a self-starter, and comfortable with open ended problem solving. We value effective communicators with a positive work attitude that are motivated by the desire to learn, achieve and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and operations teams in developing pre-sales solutions, analyzing client data and validating solutions with our in-house simulation engine.
• Support analytics services delivering large-scale analytics consulting projects.
• Design and implement operational dashboards and queries for internal/external stakeholders to assist in pattern, trend and business insights identification.
• Write scripts to automate reports workflows and processing of large datasets.

Desired Skills

• Advanced Python knowledge
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge
• Ability to work with large amounts of data to discover patterns and trends and form conclusions based on findings. Must be extremely detail oriented.
• Ability to create beautiful, structured presentation decks
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to one or more dashboarding platforms (Tableau/PowerBI/Metabase)
• Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) tools would be a bonus
• Experience in the transportation sector would be a bonus

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Data Analytics role.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a recognised university, preferably in a quantitative subject.
• If you are not from a quantitative subject you are still more than welcome to apply, so long as you are able to meet the technical skill requirements specified above.

• Oversee day-to-day financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing related to Payroll, which include:
• Pre-Payroll activities including, input and update employee details and manage government claims.
• Payroll activities including, process payroll, process CPF, and manage payroll payments.
• Post-Payroll activities, including provision for bonus, manage month-end/year-end closing, submission of IRAS Tax Declaration Annual Form 8E, and answer employee payroll enquiries.
• Regular review on compliance to statutory requirements.
• Supports and provides advice in structuring and developing the team to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day Payroll operations.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and/or tax agents on payroll related matters.
• Acts as contact point to institutional Finance and HR Partners closely to ensure organizational readiness and capability to deliver business results.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as and when requested.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration/Commerce/Accountancy/HR or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant payroll experience with at least 2 years of supervisory role
• Meticulous with an eye for detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiar with Employment and CPF Acts
• Ability to work in a high transactional volume environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP system and/or shared service payroll experience will be an added advantage

• This will start off as a 9 months contract

The Job

• Understanding of Source of Wealth/ Funds Corroboration.
• Take ownership in ensure a comprehensive, prompt, and high-quality review of client source of wealth and provide guidance to the front office and team colleagues on issues, addressing deficiencies in KYC information and documentation.Accurately identify gaps (if any) in client's source of wealth and assess the plausibility in line with MAS and the Bank’s expectations.
• Conduct independent and meticulous reviews, incorporating plausibility checks and validation of Clients' Source of Wealth and source of funds.
• Perform detailed calculations to support the client's source of wealth journey, i.e accumulation of wealth over time
• Liaise with relationship managers for deficiencies of KYC information and obtain corroboration documentation.
• Assist relationship managers to succinctly translate the SoW information into a professional and quality write up.
• Report to the SoW remediation team lead for completion progress on a regular basis and escalate issues to Compliance where required
• Collaborate with auditors and relevant stakeholders on audit and assurance-related matters.
• Coordination and collation of CDD related MIS.

The Talent

• 2-3 years of AML and Source of Wealth (SoW) experience for Client Onboarding and Periodic Reviews in a private banking environment.
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to the risks involved AML risks of private banking clients.
• Strong analytical writing skills and strong communication skills, including the ability to deal with potentially contentious issues effectively.
• Good written and proficient oral communication skills in both English is a must.
• Familiar with excel and preparation of statistics for reporting.
