Learners Hub Pte Ltd is hiring experienced Food Safety Trainers who are passionate about educating individuals and teams on food safety principles and compliance. This position focuses on creating and delivering impactful training sessions that empower participants to uphold high food safety standards and meet both local and international regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate comprehensive food safety training sessions for staff across all levels, including managers, supervisors, and operational teams.
- Cover key areas such as food safety and hygiene, using safe ingredients, handling and storing food safely, and maintaining clean utensils, equipment, and storage areas, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all training adheres to standards set by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and other relevant authorities.
- Design and administer evaluations to assess participant knowledge and compliance with food safety guidelines.
- Continuously refine training programs based on feedback, industry trends, and updates to regulations.
- Collaborate with the Training team to implement improvements, maintain compliance, and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.
- Keep all training materials current and aligned with the latest regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed of emerging food safety practices and regulations to enhance training content and delivery.
Part-time trainer - $30-50/hour
Requirements:
1. Education: NITEC Certificate equivalent or higher, in food science related courses with food safety modules.
2. Mandatory to have passed both (i) and (ii):
(i) WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 OR WSQ Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures (Basic Food Hygiene Course)
(ii) WSQ Food Safety Course Level 4 OR WSQ Conduct Food & Beverage Audit (Food Hygiene Officer) Course
3. Teaching Qualification: WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) full qualification or equivalent.
4. Work Experience: In either the food retail sector OR the food manufacturing sector.
5. Mandatory to have at least two (2) years of F&B experience in supervisory OR training OR consultancy area.
6. Teaching and Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and engage adult learners.
