Western Digital is looking for a results-oriented communications professional oversee a pan-regional public relations function and drive programs in the Asia Pacific region, including and China and Japan. As APJC PR & Communications Senior Manager, you’ll partner closely with HQ and senior regional leadership to identify and prioritize communications needs across key markets. Covering earned media, social media, influencers, media events and sponsored content, with involvement in wider integrated campaigns, this role reports into the Global Corporate Marketing team. The role will manage a team of PR and digital communications specialists as well as retained PR and social media agency teams across the region and will cooperate closely with key corporate, marketing and sales stakeholders in region.

The role will be in our offices in Singapore. Frequent travel within the region and infrequent international travel may be expected. Fluency in English is required and fluency/proficiency in Chinese or Japanese is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the PR & Communications strategy for the region, executing, managing and guiding the regional communications team
• Work with international communications and regional marketing and sales leads to deliver integrated communications programs and campaigns across earned and paid media
• Manage regional agencies to execute regional activities against agreed KPIs
• Support a reviews and awards program for consumer products
• Develop and oversee the implementation of regional communications plans
• Manage and assist in regionalizing and distributing product and company news and work with agencies to generate local content

Responsibilities :

Market Risk Management

• Execute assigned duties in ensuring timely report generation through trading system and various risk management activities, such as market risk management (commodity - both of physicals and derivatives/foreign exchange) through reporting and analysis of respective risk exposures and profit and loss fluctuation on daily basis.
• To compile prices from various sources and build daily price curves for uploading to the trading system.
• To perform month-end, quarter-end (inventory valuations) and year-end (annual back-test and stress-test) evaluations, in a timely manner.

Credit Risk Management

• Calculate the current credit risk position exposed to customers using the designated system.
• Check the position against approved position limit on a daily basis.
• Prepare position report on a daily basis.

Market Analysis

• Keep up to date with relevant market happenings, in terms of fundamentals, macro economics and key prices
• To compile a weekly report on the above and present them to the front office for the weekly market update
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager/Senior Manager/General Manager from time to time.

Requirements :

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in an oil & gas trading company, and experience in the risk management division (i.e. Middle Office) of energy trading company is preferred (fresh graduates with relevant skillset, strong interest in commodity risk management or relevant internship experience may also be considered)
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, VBA programming, Power BI, Power Automate
• Able to work independently and as well as part of the team.
• Familiar with commodity trade management system such as Entrade system will be an advantage

As the Regional PR Assistant Manager, you are responsible for press communication and activations to drive brand awareness, traffic, as well as building media relationships. ​ In this role, you adapt global brand initiatives for regional markets to secure press coverage, media engagement, while growing the brand community across all digital and physical channels.​

What you will do:

• Lead PR agencies in the relevant markets to ensure that opportunities are maximized and manage the media enquiries
