Candidates are expected to:-

• Take lead of the shipboard engineering department and engineers in the maintenance, operations, and repairs of the vessel’s mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and installations;
• Ensure seaworthiness and readiness of the vessel’s mechanical and electrical systems, equipment and installations in accordance to voyage schedule;
• Plan and maintain inventory of spare parts, fuel, and lubricating oil;
• Take charge of emergency drills and situations related to the vessel’s mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and installations;
• Develop and control plans for the maintenance of technical installations and equipment throughout the vessel;
• Deploy vessel staff in close consultation with the Chief Mate and Second Engineer;
• Appraise the performance and potential of the vessel's staff in accordance with established company procedures
• Ensure the vessel has sufficient freshwater supply for the voyage;
• Oversee bunkering procedure and liaise with relevant stakeholders for the delivery of bunker vessel;
• Ensure compliance to all local, national and international environmental laws relating to maritime safety, pollution, and domains where applicable; and
• Perform survey work in accordance with Classification Society regulations.

The ideal candidate must:-

• Possess a valid Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1; and
• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Chief Engineer onboard a container vessel.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Must have a background in the startup ecosystem, preferably having worked in multiple startups.
• Must have extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Must have extensive knowledge of building applications on top of queuing and streaming services such as Kafka and Kafka Connect.
• Must have expertise with image processing and extracting relevant text from images for further analysis.
• Must have extensive experience in using the Puppeteer framework.
• Must have familiarity with Chrome DevTools Protocol and building applications on top of it.
• Must have experience with popular analytics frameworks such as MixPanel and Segment.
• Must have expertise with Postgres, MySQL, and Trino, with an extensive understanding of their underlying mechanisms, including advanced features like Postgres functions, for building highly optimised and cost-effective solutions.
• Must have extensive experience with Elasticsearch and InfluxDB.

• Must have extensive knowledge of containers and container orchestration platforms, networking, load balancers, observability tools, and understanding of systems metrics.

Job description:

As the RFFE Module design team leader, the candidate plays key design role in development and commercialization of MEMS Based RF-FE module for consumer electronics from new concept design, verification to mass production.

The successful candidate will be leading to build a multi-discipline team developing PA, Filters, LNA, RF switches and front-end modules for the high volume and fast-paced cellular handset market. Candidates will designs develop, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems on a multinational team basis.

Responsibilities:

- Co-working with international team including China, Singapore and Europe on a cross-disciplinary team basis

- Design and development of RF-FE modules to meet customer’s specification and needs

- Lead and produce 4G, 5G, WiFi module design, fulfil product lifecycle from engineering and transfer to production team

- Coordinate with engineering teams globally to produce module samples

Qualifications/Desired skills:

- Track record in commercialization of RF-FE modules.

- Broad understanding of RF analog component performance characterization via Smith Chart, tuning via passives, etc

- Extremely familiar with module application in RF application and have the ability to use advanced modelling techniques to design modules

- Strong skill in EM modelling and RF simulation tools Solid background in resonator/filter design, simulation, finite element analysis, layout, and package design
