MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Undertakes product ownership on range of semiconductor equipment (See www.mit.com.sg on product range)

2. Define & plan the projects schedule and resources and kick off meetings

3. Carry out Product/Technology benchmarking with R&D and Marketing

4. Supports Technical Sales in specs review, costing and evaluation of new product requirements

5. Interfaces with customers on project status and technical reviews

6. Manages Product Evaluation programs with Customers

7. Oversees CIP programs to extend product life cycle

8. Interfaces with Engineering Development teams to resolve all technical field issues within the assigned Product family

9. Other tasks assign by supervisor as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least a good Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical discipline

2. Knowledge in basic engineering concepts / equipment product development

3. Experienced in project management & leading cross functional teams

4. Able to multitask multiple projects & good time management skills

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and develop high-precision semiconductor equipment to meet the processing and automation needs of customers. To succeed in this position, you need to:

· Understand the design specification given to you by the design lead.

· Understand the company’s design standards and best practices.

· Understand the constraints within which your design must work.

· Understand geometric tolerances and dimensional analyses.

· Choose components based on an understanding of function, reliability, and costs.

· Choose materials based on an understanding of materials science and engineering.

· Understand design for manufacturability/assembly.

· Work with the Electrical Engineer to choose drives and electrical components (if any).

· Discuss with the Software Engineer on any interlocking logic requirements.

· Lay the design concept down in the 3D CAD.

· Perform DFMEA during the design process.

· Submit the CAD module to the system integrator to check for interface issues.

· Review the design with the design lead.

· Put the part designs down on drawings, carefully specifying tolerances and specifications.

· Build the module BOM.

· Procure the module components.

· Review the assembly of the physical module.

· Perform design improvements where appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· BE/BS Mechanical Engineering.

· 0-3 years experience in designing and developing automated equipment.

· 3D solid modeling, preferably Creo (others like Solidworks, NX are also acceptable).

· Electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design.

· Pneumatic/fluid circuit design.

· Detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.

· Selection and sizing of standard components available off the shelf.

Preferred experience

· Ultra high-precision machine design.

· High-speed pick and place mechanism design.

· Structural, kinematics and dynamic analyses and FEA simulations.

· Geometrical tolerancing and dimensional analyses.

· Engineering material selection.

· Manufacturing process selection.

· Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE.

• Design and develop machine control software for automated semiconductor equipment.

  • Integrate software component or OEM equipment into a fully functional software system.
  • Demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts and code comments.
  • Produce well organized, optimized, testable and efficient code for software released quality assurance.
  • Develop software solution by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying system flow, data usage and work process, investigating problem areas following the software development life cycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and propose sequencing and coding solutions.
• Improve equipment performance by conducting system analysis, recommending changes in process/procedures.
  • Debug existing source codes and refine feature sets
• Support on-site installation and field service upgrading works.
• Tailor and deploy software tools and processes to resolve customer’s feedback, requirements or issues.

Skills and Qualification

• Minimum Degree in Mechatronics/Computer Science or Engineering.
• At least 4 years’ experience in programming on Windows (XP and above) environment.
• Proficiency with C++, VC++, MFC, SQL and OOP.
• Good knowledge in developing multi-threaded control software, equipment connectivity standard.
• Knowledge in designing GUI and familiarity with SEMI SECS/GEM, C# and WPF programming will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Strong general programming skills, software debugging and execute full lifecycle software development.
• Hardware experience in using Servo, Stepper Motion Controller, Analog Device and High Speed I/O.
• Excellent team player.

This is a contract role for an Assistant Engineer located in Ang Mo Kio. Our client is a Japanese multinational engineering, electrical equipment and electronics corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. You will involves extracting logs from electronics products and preparing them for hardware investigation using tools like jigs and laptops, all according to standard procedures. You’ll also help with the investigation process and enter data into both internal and authorities' systems. Regular system checks are needed to keep track of progress, and you may need to pack products for overseas investigations. Additionally, you’ll collect faulty goods from approved workshops and care centers, while keeping an updated inventory of these items.

Qualifications:

• ITE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or years of equivalent technical knowledge
