Research operations and support

• Formulate, maintain and implement research-related policies and standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences or other related field with preferably at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Experience with grant management is preferred.
• Experience with budget preparation and KPls reporting to agencies would be advantageous.
• Meticulous and responsive with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Able to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.

You will assist in achieving the Division’s vision and mandate by developing and implementing operational strategies, that will:
• Lead Division of Surgery & Surgical Oncology (DSSO) towards cutting-edge of academic medicine.
• Ensure high clinical governance standards and protocols within the Division, in line with SGH’s overall clinical governance approach.
• Drive change management initiatives in key resource and clinical areas under the Division’s purview, to enhance operational efficiency & performance.

You will work closely with medical professionals, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate the successful execution of clinical projects that drive excellence in patient care within the surgical domain. He/she will analyse data related to clinical projects and provide insights on patient care trends, outcomes, and operational improvements. The clinical projects would cover enhancing the operational processes in the operating theatre, outpatient, and inpatient settings to improve patient care delivery and outcomes. Your scope include assistance to craft strategies and policies on operational processes, workflow design, data collection and analysis.

Requirements

• Degree with at least 2 years' work experience preferably in the healthcare industry
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database managemen

You will manage MOH and SGH initiated Value Driven Care (VDC) conditions and coordinate value-based initiatives. Your job duties include:

• Literature review of VDC conditions, indicators and international benchmarks
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and develop clinical quality indicators and patient reported outcome measures
• Data extraction and analyse VDC conditions
• Conduct case review for cases which do not meet indicators and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and revise electronic Clinical Pathways (CCP)
• Analyse patient reported outcome measures (PROM)
• Identify and run hospital wide publicity programmes to promote awareness and adoption of practice of value based healthcare
• Participate in quality improvement projects

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing/ Biomedical Science/ related disciplines in healthcare, preferably with healthcare work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in the use of statistical and data analytic software will be an advantage
• Experience in medical informatics and informatics-related project management preferred

Job Description:

You are required to lead and develop a team of staff and to manage and ensure smooth operation of Patient Financial Services’ Inpatient Billing Section. Operational scope includes Patient/ Corporate Billing; Claims processing as authorised by patients, operationalising subsidy framework/national policies and managing patients’ financial concerns.

Partner and collaborate with various stakeholders within and across healthcare clusters to develop and build new systems for the future workflow models/operations that is in line with the national healthcare goals and aspirations. Actively participate in engagements to identify present-day pain points and contribute insights to innovate and create a better workflow and solution for the future healthcare model.

Optimize existing operational workflow, in tandem with SGH’s drive towards transformative and automated processes. Provide assessment based on data analytics and information to make suitable recommendations to contribute to the resolution process to address present workflow gaps.

Review performance indicators and work processes and adopt best practices and benchmarking. Participate in quality/work improvement opportunities and propose/ execute business process improvements and work plans.

Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with audit/ statutory requirements and financial policies. Collaborate as a team member in projects or with relevant stakeholders to provide input, assessment and strategies to manage patient enquiries and feedback sensitively.

Plan and provide support for continuous staff learning and development to achieve high standards of service delivery and career development.

What You Will Do

Research support

• Conducts Research Quality Assurance e.g. Conduct data cleaning and verification to ensure data collected is accurate and reliable
• Performs verbatim coding with accuracy
• Supports focus group discussions e.g. transcribe discussions, records notes of discussions
• Handles project enquiries as defined and escalates where necessary
• Attends to enquiries from survey respondents

Fieldwork

• Conducts data entry of collected data
• Conducts mystery audits to ensure compliance to defined standards
• Conducts telephone or face-to-face interviews to obtain relevant information by asking questions from a prepared outline
• Conducts calls to target respondents to participate in surveys
• Recruits participants for focus group discussions and/or schedules appointments for interviews
• Identifies and reports problems in obtaining valid data

What It Takes To Be In This Role

• Minimally a Diploma in any discipline (preferably completed a module in Market Research or Business Statistics)

You will provide administrative support to the Major Operating Theatre. You will monitor department's financial performance, which includes collating and analysing data on department's expenditures, budgeting. track approved funding from MOH/ agencies and monitor inventory movements of fixed assets. You will also assist in the documentation of staff training matters and take minutes of meetings. In addition, you will collate and analyse quality improvement initiatives and coordinate projects/ events for operating theatre.

• Degree in any disciplines with at least 1 year of work experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct phototaking and evaluation of cars by identifying problems with diagnostic tools both onsite and offsite.

• Perform troubleshooting and functional checks of vehicles.

• Explaining problems of the vehicle to both customers as well as internal colleagues (eg. Customer Service Officer)
• Conduct test drive of vehicle to detect if there is fault or issues.
• Have good understanding of all types of vehicles – knowing what the potential problems are, how to identify the root cause and the estimated cost of rectifications.
• Guide customers through the procedures of selling their cars.
• Liaise with customers and car dealers for document checks and follow-ups.
• Handle documentation and other administrative duties (eg. Uploading of vehicle postings).
• Establish good rapport with customers and dealers.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Reporting Officer.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possessed a valid Class 3 driving license.

• GCE ‘N’ Level/’O’ Level/Nitec/Diploma.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in automotive garage industry preferred.

• Good knowledge in diagnostic software.

• Good understanding of different vehicle types as we deal with a wide range of cars.

• Able to identify potential car faults.
• Team player, proactive and willing to learn.
