RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Seek opportunities to engage and cultivate good relationships with alumni.
  • Introduce and implement initiatives to build and deepen relationships with local and overseas alumni communities across different demographics.
  • Collaborate with Schools, Offices, Colleges and Institutes (SOCIs) as a strategic partner to co-organise alumni activities, events and engagment programmes.
  • Partner student groups in engaging their alumni.
  • Work as a team member in OAR to support department and university-wide events.
• Volunteer Management
  • Manage and enhance mentoring programmes.
  • Provide direction and support to alumni communities and representatives on their initiatives, budget and related matters.
  • Maintain and update datalists of alumni communities and their respective members.
• Event Planning and Management
  • Conceptualise, plan and execute alumni activities of mid to large scale including panel discussions, Homecoming, Volunteer Appreciation and Alumni Awards.
  • Facilite event registration and provide timely updates.
  • Conduct post event surveys to canvass feedback and identify the diverse needs of the community so as to improve programme offerings.
  • Measure the success of events and programmes though the collection of and analysis of data.

• Bachelor Degree with at least 4 years of working experience, preferably in the higher education sector, in the areas of relationship and event management.
• Proven good track record in the planning and executing of community building events. Understanding of alumni relations will be an advantage.
• Possess good initiative, is detail-oriented with good administration and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate competent stakeholder engagement and project/vendor coordination, able to manage concurrent initiatives.
• Demonstrate professionalism in conduct and speech, strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Mature and able to build and maintain relationships with alumni, industry partners and stakeholders.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving circumstances.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, able to work independently and in team settings.
• Able to work outside regular work hours.
• Occasional travel may be required.

This position will report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager/ Operations Manager

** Available shifts: 10.30am - 3.30pm or 5pm - 10pm

The working location is within walking distance from Bras Basah MRT station and City Hall MRT station

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for guests, ensure smooth seating arrangements, and provide excellent customer service
• Process payments, handle cash transactions with precision, and utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently
• Enhance the overall dining experience for customers by being a friendly and organized presence at the front of the restaurant
• Make reservations via phone or email and promptly respond to guest inquiries
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the restaurant menu and products to provide excellent service
• Maintain guest profiles and history, noting special occasions and requests
• Escort guests to their table and provide recommendation and information proactively
• Upsell special promotions and events to guests
• Adhere to the compliance of sanitation and safety regulations
