As part of the Global Controls Team, you will work with highly motivated innovators in the data centre (DC) industry. You will innovate, deploy, optimise, and maintain the automation systems within our DCs which consist of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.

As part of your role, you will be required to travel domestically / internationally (25-50%) in order to support multiple DC clusters.

Key job responsibilities
As a Controls Service Engineer you will:

• Perform controls root cause analysis.
• Schedule and supervise Quarterly maintenances for BMS and EPMS.
• Provide vendor management.
• Develop scope of work for site improvement projects.
• Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design.
• Provide technical assistance to internal customers during life cycle of the data center.
• Participate in a global on-call schedule within the SGT time zone.
• Ensure data center controls are deployed in accordance with scope of work (SOW) and specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming.
• Develop and modify graphical user interface.

Basic qualifications

• B.S. in an engineering-based discipline
• 5 years of experience in either design programming, or startup/commissioning
• Experience in project management
• Demonstrated understanding of communication protocols (MODBUS, BACNET)
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with controls in data centers or other critical facilities
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe system alerts or out-of-norm system behaviors to proactively identify issues.
• Follow incident isolation procedures to accurately identify and verify faults before applying problem resolution scripts or escalating issues.
• Perform record consolidation for reporting, analytics, or audit purposes.
• Conduct post-change system health checks to ensure changes did not cause undesirable behavior.
• Manage the lifecycle of incident tickets, from creation and update to escalation and closure.
• Review and verify the accuracy of operational scripts, and suggest areas for improvement.

Experience and Skills Needed

• Hold a Nitec, Diploma, or Degree, preferably in Engineering or Information Technology.
• Work in teams on a 12-hour rotation shift, covering weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to follow documented work instructions and procedures with precision.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Involved in the research of various cutting-edge computer graphics algorithms.
• Ability to implement, optimize and deploy advanced CG algorithms into production system.
• Collaborate with other teams for delivering projects across various productions.

Requirements:

• PhD/MS degree in the area of computer graphics or similar area.
• 3-5 years’ experience in rendering, shader, GPU acceleration . Have lots of projects experience in above areas.
• Familiar with at least one of OpenGL/Vulkan/DirectX.
• Experience in HLSL/GLSL or other equivalent shader languages.
• Preferred experience with Cuda/OpenCl or other equivalent parallel computing libraries.
• Preferred experience with mainstream game engine such as Unity or Unreal Engine, etc.
