Objectives of the position:

This role is for the validation of Customer technical requirements by means of inspection of In-coming goods and release lots in SAP with defined usage decisions. Testing of ISIR samples (type test) for product approval process (power, control & data cable) with compliance to company standards and verify compliance to the international cable standards e.g. EN / IEC requirements. Understanding of each testing standards and be able to communicate the requirements to respective parties including suppliers. Establish test specification to be followed by suppliers. To be able to operate all laboratory equipment in the process of cable type testing. Corrective and preventive action process with supplier with CAR logging and follow-up for effective closure of complaints and issues related to product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Validate product quality conformance by conducting In-coming inspection and type testing for cable & accessories, include updating into SAP.

2. To be able to operate Laboratory test equipment for cable testing and accessories inspection

3. Understand international cable testing standards and inspection requirements with compliance to internal ISO procedures. Prepare test specification with detailed inspection requirement to be followed by the supplier.

4. Prepare and issue Customer test reports, certificates & COC

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

• To assist the Project Engineer for the execution of contracts progress.
• To co-ordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of work schedule.
• To monitor and carry out quality check on progressive completed work and make recommendation for effective project management.
• To assist in the preparation, checking and submission of shop drawings.
• To assist Project Engineer on all other project administrative matters.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and commissioning of test processes and machinery for new devices, ensuring equipment is fully operational and meets testing requirements.
• Optimize and maintain testing machines during the engineering phase to ensure efficient and accurate test execution.
• Analyze test results and perform post-build activities such as failure analysis and corrective actions (FACA) to address yield loss and improve processes.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to develop and deliver testing solutions for new optical modules during the engineering phase, particularly for small-scale production.
• Provide technical support in the development and refinement of test procedures, continuously improving testing methodologies and equipment.
• Ensure regular maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules are followed to maintain high performance and minimal downtime of test equipment.
• Generate clear and concise reports on test results, findings, and recommendations for process improvement.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a Test Engineer role or a similar position, with a focus on optical modules or related technologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in functionality testing of optical devices, such as cameras, projectors, range finders, flashlights, and proximity sensors.
