Responsibilities

You'll need to develop skills in specific control disciplines, such as:

• advanced process control (APC)
• distributed control systems (DCS)
• programmable logic controllers (PLC)
• supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).

The use of these disciplines will depend on your job. In general however, tasks and responsibilities can include:

• designing and developing new control systems

As Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to implement and support monitoring, automation and batch scheduling tools

What will you do?

1. Understand Operation business needs and translate into technical requirement

2. To implement monitoring, automation and batch scheduling tools

3. To support post implementation tasks including patching and upgrades.

4. To recommend best practices to meet project requirements

5. Assist in POC/POV, product evaluation and tech refresh activities

Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) templates and scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Playbooks.

Must have hands on experience of system administration for Linux(RHEL) and Windows.

Must have in depth knowledge in coding using chef cook books (Ruby, Shell, PowerShell)for configuration management.

Must have Experience in developing code using Terraform (HCL) configuration language for IP assignment and VM creation.

Must have Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management processes using Ansible, Terraform and Chef cookbook

Building a CI/CD pipeline for automating the provisioning and management of infrastructure components with Terraform and Chef Cookbooks.

Creating, modifying, and deleting Virtual Machines using Harshicorp configuration code and APIs, ensuring seamless operations of CI/CD pipelines.

Maintain and enhance Linux and Windows image creation.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as developers, operations, Network and security, to ensure the infrastructure aligns with application requirements and organizational policies.

Continuously optimizing and improving the efficiency and reliability of the infrastructure through automation, scripting, and the adoption of best practices.

Conducts in depth evaluations, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving a wide variety of complex technical issues.

This is a 12 month contract role based in Singapore, Experience in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute regional space, power, cabling and other infrastructure requirements in support of Edge network requirements, present and future.
• Design/Plan new site electrical/mechanical critical infrastructure for Data Center sites.
• Work with in house Engineers and design and draw layout of Edge/POP sites floor plans, allocate space assigned to network function, optical, backbone, IP, compute, etc.
• Execute all SOW Engineering design packages related to new or existing edge/pop sites as per Edge and Network Services (ENS) standards.
• Proactively contribute to documentation, automation and processes as they evolve.
• Understand the overall needs of current and future POP infrastructure.
• Guide retrospective reviews of completed projects with teams to incorporate lessons learned into the team's future roadmaps and goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of electrical engineer work, Professional Engineer License required.
