• Take charge of acquiring quotes and spearhead negotiations with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• Oversee the measurement of materials and workmanship, applying expert skills in quantity take-offs for accurate budgeting.
• Direct the preparation of variation orders, claims, and final account settlements, ensuring financial compliance.
• Manage the process of sub-contractor payments, guaranteeing timely and equitable distribution of funds in line with contractual agreements.
• Provide mentorship and assign tasks to junior QS staff.
• Work closely with project management teams to align financial strategy with project objectives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
• Conduct risk assessments pertaining to cost-related factors.
• Other QS-related tasks.

• Min Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of QS experience in main-con companies.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders.
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce Basic Auto Cad/Sketch Up/BIM drawings
• Assist Project Manager in tendering, understand the tender specification requirement.
• Draft quotation for project
• Prepare cost estimation, revise and update tendering
• Coordinate with project team to measure and value the work done/products used on site for claim submission
• Draft report for project submission
• Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum Degree and above in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 1-2 years of working experience in QS or related construction field
• Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels
• Proficiency in Autocad is a MUST
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
