Job Description:

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building or Diploma or Nitec (Building/QS) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a construction firm preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Have good knowledge of market updates and construction cost trends.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the costs related to construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of construction practices, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cost Management & Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and other construction -related expenses. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure that the project is delivered within budget.

* Tendering & Procurement: Carry our tender submissions to various tender portals. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.

* Budget Control & Financial Reporting: Develop and monitor project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas of risk. Prepare financial reports and forecasts, tracking costs and variations.

* Site Visits & Surveys: Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data on progress and quality. Collaborate with project to address issues or delays.

* Claims Management: Handle claims and disputes, ensuring proper documentation and negotiation of settlements as required.

* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications.

* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Requirements

• B.Sc / Diploma (Building/QS) or equivalent
• 2 or 3 years of related experience in Civil Engineering environment such as road, earth and external works.

1. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring assigned projects works.

2. Coordination with clients, consultants, authorites, project team and sub-contractor for site work progress.

3. Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.

4. Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.

5. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.

6. Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in quantity surveying/engineering/management, or similar.

• Sound knowledge of construction, renovation.
