Responsibities

• Improve the cost aspect of the business:
• Select ships with optimal intake relative to volume prospects, being mindful on the correlation between vessel size & design and her associated port dues & any physical constraint of any given port of call.

About the role

Accountable for the management, implementation, and delivery of a large technology program of work in “Commodity Trading Risk Management” (CTRM) consisting of end to end physical and paper trading activities across Singapore, US, Europe, Australia and NZ. • Transfer pricing planning, including Operating Model Effectiveness projects that seek to obtain tax benefits from business restructuring
• Acting as the preferred advisor to multinational companies, addressing ad hoc transfer pricing queries

In your role as a Transfer Pricing Senior Manager you’ll:

• Analyse information, apply economic and financial knowledge to client situations, and develop effective approaches to clients' financial circumstances.
• Take a lead in developing recommendations and implementation plans.
• Develop and deliver transfer pricing and economic ideas with timely, responsive services and work products, and identify opportunities for transfer pricing and other services.
• Manage transfer pricing engagements and business development initiatives
• Assist in managing engagement economics by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders
• Build strong internal relationships within the transfer pricing team and across other services
• Coach and mentor staff

We’re looking for people with the following experience:

• Degree in economics, law, finance, tax or accounting; a CPA or similar certification
• At least 5 to 9 years of experience in transfer pricing or similar experience, with sound understanding of complex transfer pricing concepts
• Strong managerial, organizational, project management and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Hunt, win and acquire new business and customers for the organization
• Lead the engagement and grow assigned customers in country
• Maintain positive and close relationships with all assigned customers
• Lead and prepare customer quotations and proposals
• Meet targets and/or increase the organization's revenue, volumes and gross profit
• Execute business development strategies and tactics
• Interact with local and regional product teams (including Air, Ocean and others) on securing the best rates in the market for customer proposal purposes.
• Manage and analyze the performance of owned customers, identify the need for action and execute these actions
• Work collaboratively with leadership & related stakeholders to implement new & existing sales initiatives
• Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required
• Contribute ideas on process improvements & implementation of related improvements.
• Execute and manage all other jobs as assigned by immediate and dotted line manager

Requirements: 

• Degree / Diploma in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing
• At least 6 years’ customer facing sales experience of which three years in a sales management capacity in a freight forwarding, shipping and Logistics environment
• Good records in execution of successful sales development strategies
• Working knowledge in Freight Forwarinf and/or logistics related operations and selling process
