Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Overall in charge of HR Function with full spectrum of services including recruitment and talent management/retention, succession planning, workforce planning and scheduling, training and development, salary and benefits administration and total reward function, support overseas subsidiary setup, build dedication and commitment, discuss issues and conflicts, recognition and incentives system, policy and compliance etc.
- Serve as a HR Business Partner and work closely with HOD to understand business objectives, and whenever deemed necessary, implement jointly with function leader the appropriate HR solutions/framework.
- An active member of the leadership team to lend HR perspective and advice to discussions.
- Work on annual manpower planning and budgeting.
- Provide support to the Senior Management team with organizational changes such as communication of changes, managing ground sentiments, employee talent engagement.
- Drive and lead HR projects such as Annual Performance Appraisal Exercise, bonus pay-out exercise, external audits that involve HR functions and etc.
- Nurture the HR team members through developing and upping their job competencies, with a view to mentoring them to be independent and competent employees.
- Formulates, implements, and reviews HR policies and regulations to meet business objectives, and ensure their relevance in the face of any changing business directives or legislations and statutory requirements.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Develop the Learning and Development framework
- Negotiation of Collective Agreement with the Union
- DPO (Data Protection Officer) for the organization.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree ideally in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a managerial role
- An Independent self-starter to lead, act and execute company directives
- Proficient in Singapore Employment Act
- Familiarity with Policy formulation and implementation
- Analytical and Critical thinking skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good listening and communication skills (verbal/written)
- Relation-building skills
- Union management skills
